Edit: You looked at philosophyforumS.com

That's not anywhere near like what my PhilosophyForum looked like.
This is what it looked like:

@G-Thomson,
Ah, thanks for the correction and for the videos. I've been asking for someone to post some screen shots of your forum so we could get an idea of where you were coming from and what we were being compared to. Since none were forthcoming, I went looking for some. Didn't realize there were such closely named but very different looking forums.

The visual helps in understanding why this layout is such a shock to you all.

@Butrflynet,
Hmm, I went back and looked at how I got to philosophyforumS.com rather than philosophyforum.com.

Doing a Google search for philosophyforum.com gives you a link that forwards to a2k. Clicking on the "similar pages" link gives you the cached version of philosophyforumS.com.

@Butrflynet,
Ah right, no problemo.
Whenever I looked for cached pages of PF, our background was replaced with plain white and only the text was remaining.
That was probably why nobody could produce any screenshots of the site in all its glory.
Luckily, I just stumbled across those Youtube videos about 10 minutes ago.

@G-Thomson,

This is what we need for an A2K tutorial. I'll have to figure out what screen capturing software I need to do this. Or, better yet, maybe Jason will volunteer once he finds where all the light switches and bathrooms are located.

When you go to www.archive.org and give in your old forum URL you'll
come up with this

@CalamityJane,
I could definitely deal with that colour palate.

The layout's old skool, but the colours are definitely, well, less white.

Hi Kielicious,
One week ago that is how the rest of us felt. Stick with it. It gets so much easier.

@CalamityJane,
i was also trying to google some old posts etc but was always redirected here again, and it was so frustrating to find a particular blog entry is there but blocked from being seen now. why was it necessary to do that i wonder? why could not the old site have been left to read but closed to signing in?

i always wondered what it meant that we had so many more guests reading than members...i wonder where will they go? are they reading us here now?

@ehBeth,
Yes, I have been rubbing my eyes and squinting, feel a little dizzy even.
But they are quickly re focusing,
It is kind of like a sun lamp at my desk.
But sunshine is healthy.

I like it here.

@salima,
Guests are often bots. No link to show you where that is explained, at the moment.
