@OmSigDAVID,
I swear JJ has at least doubled in size! Every day I go out there and he looks bigger. As you can see from the first video of him to now he is a lot bigger. Check out the one where he was rolling the day he was born and then the Runnin' and Buckin' one. If he keeps growing like this, he's gonna be as tall as Mac!

I have been working on getting him to come to me instead of me chasing him down. I want him to learn to trust me and I don't think chasing him would help that. He will walk up to me and sniff my hand and even let me touch his nose. Then he will scamper away. It takes patience and I'm determined to have as much as possible.

@Arella Mae,
Wow, imagine what Joy woud look like,
if he were still in there!

I 'm sure that u 'll gain his confidence,
especially if u hand feed him.

@OmSigDAVID,
I think it is safe to say if Joy had kept JJ in there for three more weeks she probably would have exploded. She still has a ways to go to get rid of some of that pregnancy fat. She is still pretty wide.

I have really been working patiently on getting JJ to let me pet him or even touch him. Today he actually le me brush him! I was so excited. Here's the video and yes, I spelled lets wrong in the title! Sheesh, I am tired! Had a rough day at work. It takes too long to upload the video so I'm just gonna let my mistake be there. Laughing

Anyway, here's the little cutie. Can you believe how big he is getting????

When we first got Hank and Indy we drove out to the boarders to see them for the first time. I took a bag of expensive apples, carrots, and sugar cubes. They didn't like any of them. They ended up only liking apple wafers made for horses. Well, I hadn't tried giving apples or carrots to Lulu or Joy.

The other day I was thinking about it and thought I'd give it a try. This video is the outcome of that.

If I had only known!

I really expected a big old heeeeee haaaaawwww out of JJ in that first clip. LOL

JJ will be two months old this coming Friday. I cannot believe how time has flown by. Especially since it seemed like it took years for him to get here. It is really hard to get good video of him anymore. I get out the camera and he walks straight up to it! He is such a ham. But I was able to get a few clips today to let all of you see just how big he is getting. I have to laugh. All I had to do to get Joy and Lulu to let me near them was feed them carrots. They will follow me anywhere if I just have a carrot!

I am trying to teach him to hold his bucket in his mouth. He did it for a few seconds but it was hard for me to get the video of it. Have to wait for hubby to help next time. But anyway, here he is!

I played your video several times.
I hope that u r going to have a good party for him on Friday!
with presents!

I had not seen your video of April 13th before.

Are u satisfied with Mac now ?
Any progress with Indy 's future ?

@OmSigDAVID,
JJ seems to grow everyday. He is the most entertaining and sweetest little mule.

Saturday, Dave is going to set up the arena with lots of obstacles that will normally cause Mac to stop, balk, or flat out back up (i.e., barrels, tarps, etc.). IF I can keep Mac moving forward then I will be able to bring Mac home because this is the problem I was having with him - He wanted to back up when I wanted to go forward! So pray or think good thoughts please because I really miss him and want to bring him home.

Indy is doing fine but I haven't decided on breeding her in the spring for sure or not. Going to see how it is going with JJ, Little Joy going to the trainer, Hank going to the trainer, etc. It's on my "to do" list but has an open date.

I have prayed for u & Mac's success.
I also watched JJ run around some more again.
Do u have a horse named Little Joy?

@OmSigDAVID,
JJ's mom's name is Little Miss Joy. I more often than not just call her Joy and my husband has taken to calling her Little Feet. Thanx for the prayers because I want to bring Mac home and I want to be able to really ride him.

@djjd62,
Oh how precious! I love to see pics of babies. JJ is getting to where I can hardly call him a baby anymore because he is getting so big and he's only ten weeks old! Mac came home yesterday and JJ proceeded to chase Mac around the pasture like he was now the dominant male.

I am going to ride Mac for the first time tonight and see if I have a problem keeping him going forward. I am feeling pretty confident I won't have a problem. I know what to do now.

Oh, here is a video of Dave teaching Mac to walk across a tarp. It might give you kind of an idea of what I was up against before I took him back to Dave's.

This is Dave, my trainer, riding Mac. JJ kept going up to Mac and making a clacking noise like he did to Buck the first day Buck got here. Dave said JJ thinks Mac is a new animal in the pasture. He hadn't seen Dave on Mac before so JJ saw hims as a totally new creature. Dave said JJ was saying, "I am the baby! Please don't hurt me!"

Dave's girlfriend, Anna, took this picture of JJ. Now I ask you all - IS THAT A PRETTY BABY OR IS THAT A PRETTY BABY!? JJ turned four months old on July 12.
I love him so much.
