In watching all the specials, what haunts me the most, is Jackie sobbing, "They've killed him." Did she know...
-----------------------------------------------

And the night comes again to the circle studded sky
The stars settle slowly, in lonliness they lie
'Till the universe expodes as a falling star is raised
Planets are paralyzed, mountains are amazed
But they all glow brighter from the briliance of the blaze
With the speed of insanity, then he dies.

In the green fields a turnin', a baby is born
His cries crease the wind and mingle with the morn
An assault upon the order, the changing of the guard
Chosen for a challenge that is hopelessly hard
And the only single sound is the sighing of the stars
But to the silence and distance they are sworn

So dance dance dance
Teach us to be true
Come dance dance dance
'Cause we love you

Images of innocence charge him go on
But the decadence of destiny is looking for a pawn
To a nightmare of knowledge he opens up the gate
And a blinding revelation is laid upon his plate
That beneath the greatest love is a hurricane of hate
And God help the critic of the dawn.

So he stands on the sea and shouts to the shore,
But the louder that he screams the longer he's ignored
For the wine of oblivion is drunk to the dregs
And the merchants of the masses almost have to be begged
'Till the giant is aware, someone's pulling at his leg,
And someone is tapping at the door.

To dance dance dance
Teach us to be true
Come dance dance dance
'Cause we love you

Then his message gathers meaning and it spreads accross the land
The rewarding of his pain is the following of the man
But ignorance is everywhere and people have their way
Success is an enemy to the losers of the day
In the shadows of the churches, who knows what they pray
For blood is the language of the band.

The Spanish bulls are beaten; the crowd is soon beguiled,
The matador is beautiful, a symphony of style
Excitement is estatic, passion places bets
Gracefully he bows to ovations that he gets
But the hands that are applauding are slippery with sweat
And saliva is falling from their smiles

So dance dance dance
Teach us to be true
Come dance dance dance
'Cause we love you

Then this overflow of life is crushed into a liar
The gentle soul is ripped apart and tossed into the fire.
First a smile of rejection at the nearness of the night
Truth becomes a tragedy limping from the light
All the (canons|heavens) are horrified, they stagger from the sight
As the cross is trembling with desire.

They say they can't believe it, it's a sacreligious shame
Now, who would want to hurt such a hero of the game?
But you know I predicted it; I knew he had to fall
How did it happen? I hope his suffering was small.
Tell me every detail, I've got to know it all,
And do you have a picture of the pain?

So dance dance dance
Teach us to be true
Come dance dance dance
'Cause we love you

Time takes her toll and the memory fades
but his glory is broken, in the magic that he made.
Reality is ruined; it's the freeing from the fear
The drama is distorted, to what they want to hear
Swimming in their sorrow, in the twisting of a tear
As they wait for a new thrill parade.

The eyes of the rebel have been branded by the blind
To the safety of sterility, the threat has been refined
The child was created to the slaughterhouse he's led
So good to be alive when the eulogy is read
The climax of emotion, the worship of the dead
And the cycle of sacrifice unwinds.

So dance dance dance
Teach us to be true
Come dance dance dance
'Cause we love you

And the night comes again to the circle studded sky
The stars settle slowly, in lonliness they lie
'Till the universe expodes as a falling star is raised
Planets are paralyzed, mountains are amazed
But they all glow brighter from the briliance of the blaze
With the speed of insanity, then he died.

Saw a TV interview yesterday with John Connelly's wife, who was IN the car with JFK. She said the shots including the one that hit Connelly all came from one place, the book depository where Oswald aimed from a window. Obviously then, he was hired by someone else, but I think he killed JFK. Maybe we should all question the person/s that came up with all other theories.

OK, I've made you all wait long enough.
The mafia did it, with help from the CIA.
The mafia wanted to cut off the head of the dog that was tearing into them. RFK was exposing them, and they took out the one who gave him his power. (Plus, if they had gone for RFK-it would have been known who did it.)

JFK was making enemies of the CIA--was going to disband them--was allowing them to be questioned publicly for the first time---

When they got wind of the assassination attempt plans--they 'cleared the way' for it.

Now you know.

I saw that interview as well, however, I don't necessarily trust her recollections. She was in shock; she has had many years to fill in her period of shock with other people's beliefs, statements, debates, etc.

The single-bullet theory is just absurd; the brain on the policeman's motorcycle as it flew BACKWARDS...on and on...

In no way do I think Nellie Connelly is lying; I just know how the memory plays tricks when one is under tremendous stress...

Well, if Sofia is right, then it was the Mafia/CIA who hired Oswald and he was the set-up patsy he said he was. Why not, when the stupid guy was killed so's he wouldn't tell.

Suz, I think it would be unusual for someone to change their memory because of others' opinions. On the contrary, people seem to work forever on reviving just what did happen, or what they saw in these horrible situations. That's been my experience and it does take a looong time to piece those pictures together that forever remain in a person's mind. But, then, that was the sixties and what would a mere woman know about much of anythng (men were still running things then).

At present, I am buying the theory that Oswald was set up by the CIA. And, neatly used a Texas lawman bud of Ruby's to arrange the hit on Oswald.

The interviews with certain characters, and Oswald's and Lee's statements make this credible to me.

I read an article recently, can't remember where, interviewing Nellie Connelly. In that article she was quoted as saying there were three shots.

In her interview yesterday, and in that article you read, Osso, didn't Nellie Connelly also describe how one of the 3 bullets could have hit both JFK and J. Connelly? I wasn't quite sure so didn't add that comment, you know how people talk while the TV is going and you lose one second.

Watched all the Legend series today on all the deaths, accidents and other sadness. Guess we've all had our share of that, too. That is the last time I watch anything about the Kennedys.

I think Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone -- and was the sole murderer of JFK.

I have walked all over Dealy Plaza and looked at the window of the School Book Depository where Oswald allegedly had his post when the shots were fired. If he could make those shots count, using a bolt-action Carcano-Manlicher, the man was an Olympic-grade marksman. (Which his USMC record on the firing range contradicts.)

I have this to say about that. Vaughn Meader had it done.

Not making light of this situation. I thought John Kennedy had the greatest wit. What a speaker. I have no idea who assassinated Kennedy. I guess we'll have to go with Oswald.

Tex-Star, yes I think she said that, but I am not positive, am actually not all that avid a reader on these matters. I skimmed the material, reading it at all only because it was the first time I had run across anything written about her.

I blame JFK's secret second in command, code-name: LMNOP.

I vote with the unimaginative minority putting the blame on Oswald acting alone.

But you can't sell many books or movies with a theory that lame, so I doubt if it will ever gain much popularity.

(I was in sixth grade gym class, final period. The principal had tried to deliver the message the hour before by holding a radio up to the P. A. system, but, given the technology of the time, you couldn't make out a single word. The gym teacher told us Kennedy had been shot, but there wasn't anything we could do about it, so we might as well line up for calisthenics, which we did.)
