Sounds to me, like the guns were stolen BY THE POLICE,
who deserve to be in prison for it.

Well, I wouldn't get the idea that the police's list of stolen goods indicates that things mentioned in it are actually stolen by the police forces themselves.

But you are the expert here.

Well, according to the story,
the police robbed this poor Chinese fellow of his guns,
his gas masks and his radios, inter alia.

Exactly! As you just said "He found a bad apple"

So, you are actually saying that the guy is bad but he should be let go because he makes the gun nut idiots look bad? You have gone beyond yourself on this one. Shocked

Do u consider possessing the means
of defending your life n other property to be idiotic ?

I consider the mentality of one who would actually use said weapon to harm another. So, yes... it IS idiotic.

Do you actuall know the purpose of the police? Do you actually know their authority? It is hard to believe that you claim to be a lawyer. Maybe lawyers should be in prison for overcharging. Confused

I was actually thinking about doing just that one of these days, but I'm talking about an obsession!

I have no problem with people protecting themselves and if they feel they need a gun to do that, they won't hear me complain, but this is an obsession with you cj!

Well, deer season is finally over. But it is an election year, and this kind of gun grabbing crap is just going to boil over more and more.

That being the case, one would think that the politicians and the majority of the people agree with this.

Yes, good on them for not understanding the meaning of the second amendment and instead doing what some numbnut from Australia would like them to do.

I didn't know you had nuts numb or otherwise dlowan... but it would certainly go a long way towards explaining your cantankerous-ness. Laughing

Well, according to some of the leaders
of the suppressionist movement against freedom of self defense,
notably Bill Clinton and later, Al Gore
attributed loss of Congress for the Democrats
( for the first time since the Roosevelt Administration )
to Clinton 's anti-gun, so-called " assault weapons " ban
and Gore 's loss of his campaign for the Presidency,
( including his home state, of Tenn. )
to freedom minded pro-gun voters who defended their rights
when thay entered their voting booths.

When I vote,
I take gun freedom into consideration,
as to each candidate, before each decision
qua for whom I will vote, and against whom I will vote,
campaign, and donate cash.
I wish to return to the l'aissez faire freedom
of America before gun control.

Having a well armed citizenry is the cornerstone
of the most fundamental and original American philosophy,
as manifested in the Supreme Law of the Land:
rugged INDIVIDUALISM and robust LIBERTARIANISM,
as distinct from
docile submission to collectivism and demeaning authoritarianism.

Either WE, the citizens are the owners and the boss,
OR
our hireling government is.

WHO will be the servant ?
the government that we created,
or
the citizens who created and hired government ?

It is a very basic dichotomy.
I choose FREEDOM; screw government and the collective.

Regardless of the legality or possible legality of said action? This thread had to do with a possible criminal element. Do you support that? A yes or no will do.

If anybody is interested in discussing the disaster preparedness aspect of this thread (which I feel there is one). I've created a thread to address these very issues.

Let's try to keep politics out of it as it's in the General forum.

If u r asking about recovery of STOLEN property ( guns ) by police,
then:
stolen guns shud be treated the same as any other property that has been stolen.

If u r asking about the legality of government controlling citizens' possession of guns,
then:
government has been denied that authority,
as a condition of the existence of government;
thus government is in violation of the law
if, by acts of USURPATION, it grabs unconstitutional power
and does so anyway ( comparable to W declaring that he will remain in power, no matter what ).
