My daughter thought Troy Aikman, Dallas Cowboys QB, was absolute perfection in every detail. I never could see that myself either.

@ossobuco,
Thanks Osso. I never knew "Ephraim's" real name until now. Maybe he didn't get much dialogue in that movie because they couldn't have a western mountain man speaking French? Sure fell in love with him though. When it first came to town, I was watching the movie in the fourth consecutive showing when my mom came and dragged me out of the theater.

@Foxfyre,
Oh, that reminds me..

I went alone to the theater to see some movie with Steve McQueen, Paula Prentiss, and I forget who else.. My mother was very angry, i suppose because I took the car, or fear of my being kidnapped, or.. or...
I'd forgotten how much I liked Steve McQueen. Saw Great Escape 5 times..

eoe, I watched Purple Rain, enjoying the "view." When Prince sang the tile song at the end, I was a goner. Hot, hot, hot!

Foxfyre/osso, Ephraim was Jacque D'Amboise?! Loved dat man. Saw him dance many times at the New York City ballet. Also had lunch in a diner. He was two booths away. Very Happy

@littlek,
Oh yeah Scott -- I was running out the door when I posted. My bad.

Scott would be Scott Bakula.

@eoe,
Speaking of Scott Baio..... I think my first TV crush was The Fonz. And my first movie crush was Hans Solo. Harrison Ford stayed a crush for quite some time.

I wouldn't exactly describe it as a crush, but ... I always thought that Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient/The Constant Gardener, etc) was a lovely example of sensitive, intelligent manhood. That is, until "the air hostess incident" ....... (Crikey! Shocked) Sadly, all illusions have now been destroyed.

These are Rosarch tests in essence.

Barbara Stanwyck sent me into the arms of simple, unimaginative, unambitious and perfectly formed English Roses. Seaside girls.
