I'm glad they gave you the megadose antibiotics. When you said they gave you amoxicillin, I said to my self, "Amoxicillin's for pussys." But I didn't want to worry you.

It was for pussies!

Thanks all. This time it seems to be for real. My energy level is back up, no infection effects even after a full day's work. So, I'll just be trying to NOT get sick again this week.

It's kind of hard to tell what's going on. As of last weekend I felt the ear infection was gone. The ears were clearing out over the course of the week until about thursday when they started to get a little cloggy again. I still don't feel ear infectiony. I also had a runny nose, sneezing, scratchy throat. So, I think I caught a fresh cold at the end of last week (I'm confusing even my self).

Lessee.

~ March 10-11 started to feel the cold come on while at my class.
~ that cold lasted 2 weeks and was fairly mild, started to feel better and had 2 drinks on the 23rd
~ 24th the ear infection started
~ 25th started first round of antibiotics
~ 31st started new round of antibiotics
~ April 2nd, feeling much better in re ear infection, but developing sneezing and runny nose
~ April 4, ears started to feel plugged up again, but not like it was during the ear infection

Looks like I ran into Region's cartoon, except mine was almost definitely a much smaller and younger version.

The crazy rollercoaster weather hasn't been helping anything I don't think. Seems like more people are sick than usual, for longer.

Probably. I had one illness after another when my kids first started going to school and catching this bug and that one. You're getting exposed to new things now that you're in a school with small kids.

I hope you feel better again soon.

I'll echo JPB. When I first started teaching, I was sick all the time. Eventually you become immune to everything.

Yes, that's what I hear. I got sick a lot when the kids I cared for started school. Then I thought I'd built up an immunity. This is my first year in the schools myself. And I do think that has something to do with it. But many teachers are sick at my school. Really sick. Even the veterans. I think it's just a bad year. And, I'm not sure I buy the weather related cold/flu thing either.

I got a flu shot this year and I haven't has so much as a sniffle. It might be a coincidence, but I usually get one doozy cold each winter. <knocks>

That's true -- there is a certain amount of freedom to be had.

Until the aliens come, of course.

Life where the aliens live might be better than life in the U.S. right now. Who knows?

I approve of nanochips that keep the flu away.
