Best of luck with it, littlek! I KNOW it's not easy being "cruel to be kind"! ... I thought my poor critter would never speak to me again, after weeks of this torture ... But he forgave me. Very Happy

Because he knows you're trying to help, littlek.
My critter is very devoted, but weeks of this traumatized the poor thing. Crying or Very sad

Screech's sister died two years ago. Just before she went into the hospital, the vet sent me home with an IV bag. I was supposed to add fluids to her once or twice daily (can't remember). I had to sit on her to get it in. Poor cat was deathly ill and I tortured her last days. I still feel terrible when I think about it. I don't want it to be like that with Screech.

Littlek, been there/done that & had exactly the feelings you describe, a number of times. It is VERY hard to know when enough is enough when you're so involved with the critter. EXTREMELY hard to give up.
I know ... <sigh>

the damn cat is back! He's eating, chasing toys, attacking me. He's not 100%, but he's doing great!

Thanks for listening everyone....

Yeah, thanks.
But, unfortunately, what ever causes him to have this reaction will more than likely pop up again. We won (crossed fingers) this time!
