Now, whyever would I want to do something like that? I mean, just because you ruined my lovely Venetian fantasy, we can still be friends, right? Twisted Evil

Never fear about remaining friends with hiama, he is too sweet to resist as are all those in the Salon. We have our little spats every now and then, bt we all care too much about one another to let it get very serious. Besides, making up always adds to the bond and sometimes, the making up becomes its own reward.

Diane, such flattery, you've made me go all of a fluster. I've had to put some Carole King music on to calm me down.
That little trip of yours Diane has put a sping in your step and a lilt in your words. And the Salon is very much a place full of jolly japes and a few stolen kisses here and there, it seems. Hiama is a little scamp, methinks.

Anyway in the morring I'm going to jump in the new jamjar and have a few days away by the old briney, under the old current bun and bright blue sky.
Ah well, no doubt my trouble and strife will keep her minces trained on me and if she sees me straying off the strait and narrow, I'm sure her hi-speed rolling pin will dragged me back

Oh, Diane! The surprise I had in mind was something I think dear Hiama would enjoy very much...once he gets over the shock of it. Shocked

See? I've borrowed a couple of clickers from Wassau at the cafe. I thought we'd send Hiama and his long lost love, Gloria Stits (the stripper, see "A Continuous Story" under Original Writing) on a little rendevous so they could make up for lost time. I had Venice in mind, hee hee! Thought we'd just click them right down into the Grand Canal...sans clothing, of course! (giggle giggle) Razz

(handing Diane one of the clickers) Shall we?

I'm going to ask HelenOfTroy to fly me over to the UK, so I can watch the TV show "One Man And His Dog"!!!

hiama, "ER" is a great show... right now, I'm hooked on "Alias"... love those CIA special agents!!!

<laughing> OaK, you're wonderful, and I can just picture your wife chasing you around with her rolling pin!! Is "jamjar" a type of car? Is "the old current bun", um, a hat?

I just realized that I haven't been to the Cafe for a long time... I need to pop over and say 'howdy' to Sal and Prissy... Sal makes the BEST lattes!!

<clinking glasses> Here's to your celebration, Viz! It's nice to meet you!

hiama, Gloria Stits?? I think I need to pop over to the "Continuous Story"....

Come'on, Jack, let's head over to the Cafe....

Woof! (translated: Oh, Yes, Prissy always gives me a little piece of cheese!)

Very Happy

P & L == Jamjar is cockney rhyming slang for Car, any old car, be it a Chevy or a Rolls Royce. Currant Bun = Sun. Yes the wife also inherreted "THE LOOK" from her mother, it spares no one. It's a fearful experience.

Viz, I'll be back in harness on Saturday, just having a short break and regirding my lxxxs.

Hiama had a good night, Lola and Viz tucked him in and he is ready for anything this morning.

Hiama re-reads the telegram from Trevor as he sips his morning coffee.

I wonder if they have Seinfeld on this planet, perhaps they are still life shows there and not just re-runs, maybe I should see about getting one of these oops-whoops tickets from DC. The trouble is there was no sender address, maybe Trevor will write again soon when he has picked himself off the floor, sounds like the gravity there makes for interesting perambulation.

John, have a great time by the sea. Don't forget my standing invitation for you and your touble and strife to visit us by the sea in Florida if you come to the States next year.

Viz, I love your idea regarding hiama and the lovely Gloria in Venice, but I know hiama will put a halt to all plans if he thinks Trevor needs his help and, from the sound of that planet, Trevor is in serious need of help. If everyone there walks like Bush and Mussolini, they must all be constipated and in terribly bad moods.

Good grief!! Trevor needs to be rescued!!! What if they also talk in nonsequiters and make meaningless but emphatic statements? Poor Trevor!! He of the lucid, golden prose. Something must be done as quickly as possible or he will lose his sanity or, worse still, his sense of humor!!

We need our clickers and our Darthovian lasers. I know when it's time for a candlelight vigil and when it's time for rescuing one of our own. Ready?

You may be right, Diane. At first, I was thinking he'd be able to defend himself. And he may, since he was ingenious enough to send a telegram. He didn't ask for help though......let me see.......ummm.....you know, Trevor is a little sensitive.........do you think he'll take it the wrong way? Sometimes he likes to demonstrate his manly powers. Maybe we should wait a bit.

Here, have a sip of champagne and let's just see................
