Giving new meaning to old phrase "off the deep end" HofT climbs up steps in new outdoors pool, puts on bathrobe thoughtfully held out by Withers, hopes engineering wizards Hiama and Danon will attend to submerged Goblin, and treks towards library in Lola's townhouse in search of Blatham and his newly-acquired (yes/no [?] pls check one [!]) documents <G>

'No problem lifting the Goblin out of the pool HofT' said danon, 'First we must get in touch with Yoda and request his assistance. Yoda has a way of putting his finger on the problem with no outside interference. He sort of forces the thing into submission..'

Danon5 I've had a word with Yoda and he said: "If you discover how to turn lead into gold don't tell anyone except me."

So they roll the Goblin onto the special rubber submersible they contrucetd and the Goblin is soon sitting by the side of the pool. They repair to the bar and join HofT for a drink and to listen to her account of her recent activities.

Good morning everyone. Or is it afternoon already? Time, it keeps slipping up on me. It's a good thing the outside pool is heated so well, it's all rainy and cold out here. Rain in the face isn't very nice.........I think I'll join the others in the study.

Hi HofT. Beckoning to Blatham usually brings him around eventually. I think we are still waiting though. Fun.

HIAMA and Danon, what's that? Cognac for breakfast? Only if I also get to smoke a big cigar as well.

'But of course Lola. Nothing but the best for our hostess. Here have one of our very special Quemado de Guines cigars from a secret place somewhere South of us.' said danon

Lola,

Have you finished your work yet or is this just a small respite whilst you smoke your cigar ?

Peace&Love and Jack (super Border Collie) enter Lola's study, smiling.

"Hi Everyone!"

"Woof!"

"I noticed HoT's Goblin out back by the pool. It sure looks clean! Gee, Lola, I love that little statue of Yoda. It looks sooo real. I could just swear I saw his ears wiggle."

"Danon, I loved that quote by JFK, about Jefferson dining alone."

Withers has brought a vanilla latte for PaL and a "Scooby Snack" for Jack.

"Thank you, Withers! A warm coffee drink is perfect for today!"

"Woof!"

Very Happy

Hi P & L, how are you , its Jack can I play with him for a bit.

Hiama dashes around with Jack leaping over and under chairs and they run out onto the verandah and both manage to fall into the pool. Drying Jack by the fire Hiama apologises to P & L, who is looking a littel annoyed.

Hi P&L - you'll have to excuse hiama - we almost have him house trained.

That is a good quote by JFK isn't it? It says a lot in a little space.

Oh, and if you want anything moved that little statue will come in handy.

"Oh, no, hiama, I'm not annoyed!! It's just the smell of wet dog hair!!"

"Here's a towel for you, too!"

"Actually, if anyone is annoyed, it's Jack, who hates baths!!"

Jack's head is down and he's looking up with big sad brown eyes, as if to say "Mommy, I don't like to get all wet."

Suddenly, Jack shakes his whole body and sprays water all over everyone.

"Thanks for the shower, Jack!"

Very Happy

Peace&Love has tuned the radio to "Prairie Home Companion" and is chuckling, listening to Garrison Keillor's cowboy skit. This week's show is live from Phoenix, Arizona.

"Anyone remember when Prairie Home Companion was shown on TV?"

"Hi hiama and Lola", Stradee waves after one mile run <and one mile semi-run> impressed with hiama's ability to run ten miles!

"Lets jump in the pool ~ nothing like a nice swim after exercise" says Stradee then.... oops "Lola, could you ask Withers if he'd bring hydrolic crane to pool area"?

"Hi Hoft" greets Stradee sensing new field coordinates radio call wasn't received. Oh well ~ "Nice landing"! Laughing

Peace&Love gives Hebba a big hug.

"Hey! Welcome back!"

"The last I remember, we were towing the cockroach on a trailer behind the car, when we left Arizona. It's probably out back, by the horse stables. Let's ask Yoda to lift it up and put it over by the swimming pool."

Very Happy

Stradee - aren't you the Salon Commo-Goddess? Help - our communications links are on the blink!

1. No, I never got the new field co-ordinates you transmitted; but my Goblin's ECM (electronic countermeasures) were switched on "high"......

2. Hebba (welcome back, btw!) never got word that his artwork graces the personnel entrance of Bugsy Siegel's main Las Vegas casino - and anyone attempting to remove it from that location will promptly find eternal rest under Nevada's desert - but his cell phone malfunctioned.....

3. Blatham has yet to receive snail mail - but the US Postal Service is notoriously slow.....

As someone observed before me:

"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Third time is enemy action."

Cicerone - don't be so complacent, please! Is Lola's Salon being subjected to a high-tech attack???? <G>
