Well, to most comfortably fit in as a Victorian (this is no secret), one really ought to have a lot of plates on the wall marking the coronation of Elizabeth 2.
People speaking in code Lola does not understand. Explanations please.
Victoria is a wonderfully beautiful city just a short 'fairy' ride from Vancouver. It's quaint, quiet and full of interesting things.
and doddering old monarchists who are still pissed that the old flag of Canada was changed thirty years ago to remove reference to Britain and the crown.
OK, so they DID change the flag up there, huh? I was sorta thinkin' maybe they had, but I didn't want to say anything .....

PaL and Jack (super Border Collie) glance over at Lola. PaL says, "I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life and I still haven't been to Victoria. Each year I say 'this is the year I'm going to Victoria', and then something else comes along to change my plans. I would love to spend a few days there. Every day they have 'high tea' at about 5 in the afternoon. And I've heard that the Buchart Gardens are totally awesome."

PaL reaches into her big tote bag and pulls out her calendar, wondering if this might be the year she goes to Victoria.........

The State of Montana is rich in wildlife, spectacular views, and at every turn in the road, there seemed a completely different sculptured mountain range.
Check out Banff, Alberta Canada!

Ok guys and gals, I charge for travel information. But, can you afford me??
Lola !!!! Did we answer your question?
yessssss, good enough. Thank you danon. So are we going somewhere or are we staying home in my cozy little abode?
Lola is wearing a little short skirt with a black turtleneck sweater. She's feeling a bit like a school girl today. Maybe all the girls can get dressed up in something they find to be carefree and fun. Whadayasay ladies?
is this just ladies night in? or out?
cozy little abode sounds better than a cold walk out and about.
PaL's thinkin' of a trip to Victoria?
Mikey, you and the other guys are always welcome at Lola's. Why else would the ladies be dressing up?
While PaL and Jack (super Border Collie) are curled up in the big overstuffed chair by the fireplace, a big cartoon bubble forms above PaL's head, with the little round white bubbles leading up to the bigger bubble. Inside the bigger bubble, pictures of Victoria and Vancouver Island are slowing clicking off and on, as if in a slideshow.
Yes, PaL is thinking about a trip to Victoria. She's wondering if her friend, ehBeth would ever be planning a trip out to that area........
thank's Lola, a good night to be in and sit by the fire. i'll bring some brandy for all.
maybe Vancouver would be a good place to have our a2k party. Or Seattle. Any preferences?
HofT (who has just-this-second realized Monday is a holiday, therefore can take a break as her preparation for Tuesday meeting can be postponed until tomorrow) looks up Vancouver, at N 49 11' W 123 10', and Victoria - hey!!! That's at N48 25' W 123 20' !!!!
Picks up phone and calls air traffic control at Victoria Airport, located next to a town named Sidney, *still* in N 48 latitude:
"Hello, I'd like to file a flight plan requiring separation between aircraft at final approach of at least six minutes - am arriving in a F-117 Wobbly Goblin, brand new, and my 2 previous landings with it were somewhat short of exemplary. Btw, is it OK to annex you? I see how you're south of the 49th parallel."
"It all depends - are you reasonably presentable?"
"Taller and not-quite-as-curvy as your Nanaimo native Pamela Anderson, but otherwise yes. Now I see on aeronautical map here a radio navigation beacon located at Port Renfrew - any connection to my favorite store, Holt Renfrew?"
"None whatsoever."
"Ah, well, then I'm not sure about annexing you after all."
"Perhaps that's just as well. You're welcome to visit anyway, and bring your friends!"
Lola, this is for you. Wherever you can relax and recover from so much hard work is your decision. All the places you have mentioned sound great. Maybe a tour? You know we all have fun wherever we are.
Thwackk!
Missive from Blatham, delivered by dart to stable doors behind Lola's townhouse, next to airplane hangar. HofT opens it and reads "Please get your parallels right - or I'll take back the plane I bought for you!"
Ah, well, Diane is right after all - let Lola decide where we want to go. Danon (flying a Blackbird) and Stradee (in a Hornet) better do the navigation around here before I get into more trouble - the 49th parallel has to do with North Korea, not Canada, 34 to 38 zone is in Iraq... so OK, I'm good with numbers, not words <G>

Stradee checks flight Guide Airport Frequency Guide. Hmmm, Western U.S.
only ~ will file flight plan at Logan, soon as everyone decides where exactly we're going. Should probably have gotten new Flight guide. Oh well, can alway blink landing lights.
Lola said dress casual. Ok/ lets see/ what goes well with flight jacket and football helmet/ I know! Yoga pants/halter top/boots w boot toppers.
Ok, so it doesn't all match but feeties will stay warm.
Stradee packs horse gear/ plans visiting sanctuary/ darling horses need extra whispering.
Stradee checks Jeppesen Computer for coordinates. < must remind Hoft to keep radio frequency open> Is there flying over-the-border-etiquette I should know about/ do Canadians frown on maroon air currents/ is there an airport?

Just tuck it in about 200' or a little less above terrain, around 500 knots, and mask your approach with terrain features. Should be no fuss at the border. Oh, and turn those lights out.
