New Jersey bar? Hmm, never worked there. New York bar, yes. Garden State, nope. But that's a small detail. And yeah, I know the kind. Half the time I'd be itchin' to ask 'em if their hemorrhoids were bothering them and, if not, what other excuse they had for acting like such an a$$.
But I digress.
jes looks over the accounts carefully. "$73,000 in motor oil! Insta-Carol, get in here!"
Insta-Carol obeys. "Yes?"
"Have you been hitting the sauce again?"
"Yes," sobs Insta-Carol, "but it's only because my insta-boyfriend left me for for for ..." the remainder is cut off with sobbing.
jes pats the robot's back. "There, there. It can't be all bad, can it? You'll find someone else."
"I, I just don't know." sobs Insta-Carol. "See, I've lost my self-worth ever since my insta-boyfriend left me for for for ... a toaster."

Hiama just manages not to slip on the insta oil on the floor-hey Jes lets be careful with Insta-Carol's juice.
Withers I'm exhausted from my swim back across the Atlantic let me have a triple expresso ( a fatima special !) for the buzz and the energy please.
On a serious note dear salon-ers the rising storm out there is a little frightening isn't it, I do hope that peace and love can overcome some of the bad events arising from disparate dogma meeting in the middle and making mayhem.
If they could only get on like we do-hey who pinched my seat ?

Lola and Cobalt, you look stunning, says Diane, looking a little peaked while still involved in her bout with various bacteria and viruses.
I must get dressed up. There is no way I'll let a few germs keep me away from some great Irish music! Trouble is, no one will be willing to dance with me, now that I am contagious. Waaaa.
Hiama, have you checked out the philosophy, religion and political threads? They do tend to get pretty intense, but the quality and civility of most of the posts are wonderful! There are actually moderators who step in before things start getting personal.

Lola's Salon
Stradee's preparing Hornet for Tampa flight brings Lola 4 dozen yellow roses
thanking her for extra storage space for Hornet, Stealth, and F 13 ~ cases of 20/30 oil for Carol, honey and brandy for Diane, and a message of apology from Pepe to Cobolt <voucher attached> and a hello face cheek tweek to HIAMA.

"Dahlinks! You all look mahvelous this evening!" Cobalt simpers and flounces her way into the Salon. "Boys, set me up with some straight shots, no rocks pleeeeeeze...."
"Lola, you are SUCH a dear to minister to a friend in need, and mmediane, you are such a fair and loyal friend. A gal can use all the friends she can get some days, and men, well, they are not too useful, as they say, unless one DOES need to park parallel or is that loop-de-loop in some Stealthy aerial maneuver! "
Cobalt, who was about to be served a delicious shot of Martell Cognac brandy (5 star, of course) suddenly realizes that Blatham, Hiama, and the other men are now looking at her with puzzlement. Worse yet, Hiama has paused merely three feet from her with his hand outstretched to hand her the shot. (Oh oh, faux-pas cobalt realizes!)
"Cheries, of course you know I am kidding you all!" (Phew, that was a close one, as cobalt greatfully accepts the low bow and extended shot from Hiami...)

Hiama stretches his not inconsiderable manly frame and regains the vertical having handed Cobalt her shot.
Hey Cobalt did you know that Marmite, which we all eat here in England and which is what makes us English, is a source of vitamin B12, actually a compound containing cobalt
Diane I will check out th heavy duty threads you mention, thank you kindly.
Stradee thanks for the tweek, any tweek is better than no tweek.
Lets keep the noice down folks Lola is trying to sleep , counting lawyers jumping over legal hoops usually helps
Now do we have a salon song- I think we need one what do you all think ?

The air is cold. Like a vast unseen catastrophe it pours down from the Bay of Fundy, filling all valleys and subsuming all mountains. Trees are silent and brittle. Weather vanes on Quebec farmhouses, too cold to even shiver, freeze, pointing south - "It comes". Borders are crossed. Nothing stands before it.
A frigid curl of wind lifts a dried maple leaf from the edge of the tile roof and sends it against the window of the library where Trevor and Withers sit before the fire, in conversation and sipping brandy.
Withers is studying Trevors face. "Are you certain, Trevor?"
"No, I'm not, John. Not least of all," Trevor added, smiling, "because I shall dearly miss a cabinet full of fine brandy and your company." The two men touched their glasses together, and both turned their gazes to the fire.

Lola's Salon
Cruising at 40,000 feet, Stradee switches to auto pilot.
Stradee reflects on the days activities, cheering her team as they limped from the field, thanking couragous warriors for a great season.
Jets purring/ the blue sky melding with Earths atmosphere gently curving/
turbulance a thought pushed aside/ in it's place a calm of both mind and spirit
Lola can be found in her study, working. She's finally come down to her absolute deadline and cannot procrastinate any longer. Work must get done.
Everyone make themselves at home, please. Withers will take care of anything you need.
Trevor, you should take care to better understand before missing the cupboard of fine brandy and warmth of friends.

"Ooof, headache. No brandy for me," says jes. "Insta-Carol, would you be so kind?" Insta-Carol rubs jes's back and then turns off the light and closes the door.

Cobalt notices a PALL has descended in the Salon. Or, is that Paul or ? She's thinking that the present is an existential moment - is she dreaming or *here*? Oooooh, too too much thinking right now for the Blue Lady... She's off to seek high adventure now. <code = my room is upstairs...>

jes notices Insta-Carol making goo-goo eyes and the wizardmobile. "Isn't he dreamy?" sighs insta-Carol, patting the car's tail fins suggestively.
"Looks like someone wants an adventure." says jes. "But maybe some place romantic for our young lovers made of chrome and steel. Any suggestions?"

Hmmmm, someplace romantic for our titillated, techie twosome...
Some tropical island would be loverly, but they might rust. Going back to the desert might work or a trip to a mountain chalet in Colorado.
One question: would they mind if Lola's group came along for the ride? It seems to me that there are a few lonely, melancholy people around here. That's the trouble with too much Irish music; it rips out your soul and leaves you heart in tatters if you listen for too long.

I bet we can come along if we promise that the chrome-plated lovers can have their own temperature- humidity-controlled suite.

Jes, of course the techno lovers should have their own, climate controlled suite.
Since Lola is working so hard, let's plan a trip to a place that will provide all the pampering she could wish for in a place of serene beauty.
Any suggestions?

How about Vancouver? Blatham could show you all around the town. And I could stay at the hotel, or some secluded place with quiet, and work. It's a lovely city, I hear.

Lola would fit right in, in Victoria, thought danon.
