Oh no BillW!!

This isn't my first tour of Venice. So, all my guests are treated to a completely headache free tour with lots of very easily done side tours and tid-bits that larger groups never have. And, it is all a well designed, no hassle adventure....

Now you know what you're missing!! Be sure and tell the Mrs!! LOL!! Oh, and say HI to her for us.

I DO hope that you all meet. There is nothing like it,...nothing.

And now I MUST find a good massage, or the term is masseure (sp?). You have me psyched! Can only afford to have one, but what the hell?

I am listening to some glorious music. A compilation of great operatic pieces called (Simply the Best) Night at the Opera, courtesy of ossobuco. Simply great! Wish you all could hear what I am hearing.

Sumac,
First, to the Jacuzzi.
Then, to the table.

Ossobuco is such a nice lady. I'm sure she's told you about Italy! Nothing she said is an exaggeration. There is just soooo much to be seen. You have to be selective.

Oh, and you have pieces by Mozart of course. His music is proven to be relaxing to young and old.

By the way, in Vienna, there is a very large cemetary with millions of graves. One section is devoted to the famous musicians we all know. There is one for Mozart, but he isn't there!! He was buried in the Marxerfriedhof, which I found years ago and take my friends to see when they visit Vienna. It is the little touches that make the difference.

Ahh, BillW, did I say we are going to pass by the largest and best weapons museum in the world?? No? Well, let me say we are going to pass right by a museum with the largest collection of armor and firearms in the world. It displays also the very auto that the Archduke Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated in. Along with tons of other ditties you would like!! And that's not all!!! But, that can wait till later.

I lost my last in the nether world of cyber space. That's probably a good thing.

NOT !!!

We are going to be sitting in the Albertina Keller right under and only a few feet from A. Durer's famous "Hands" sketch. Oh, and we WILL be sipping some of the finest beer on earth.

Danon, your trip sounds heavenly! If Hiama, Eva and I could join you, it would be a once in a lifetime experience for me. Unfortunately, I can't do it this year. At least I'll be able to attend the Texas gathering. We will miss you (and envy you) during our time there.

Is it true that while visiting the great cathedrals, you are given a mirror to look into so that you don't get dizzy looking up at the ceilings?

Withers, some champagne please, to celebrate Danon's trip to Europe. Cheers!! Salut!! Enjoy la dolce vita. Laughing

BTW, ossobuco writes beautifully about Italy. Her love for the country shines through in every word.

Thanks Diane,

A cognac Withers, thanks.

I have never seen anyone with a mirror looking at the ceilings, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. I prefer the old - stop, grab something, look up technique - myself. But, it's like I said to dlowan recently - 'whatever wags the cats tail.' I'm normally real easy going and laid back, so anything is usually ok. Just that some things are better than others occasionally.

It is a valid technique in a number of equilibrea contexts. For example, someone like myself who is susceptible to careening too easily off of a hotel bed, at times sustaining frightful scratches and bruises, can be well served by a large mirror either over or to the side of the bed.
