More people saw me than saw Napoleon, Lincoln and Cleopatra. I was better known than Einstein and Picasso. ... I changed the fashion of two continents. The style of the Gay Nineties became the rage ... women were trying to walk and talk like me. Women became more sex-conscious - sex was out in the open and fun.

It is better to be looked over than overlooked...

I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it...

I used to be Snow White, but I drifted...

It's hard to be funny when you have to be clean...

It's not the men in my life that counts--it's the life in my men...

She's the kind of girl who climbed the ladder of success, wrong by wrong...

There are no good girls gone wrong, just bad girls found out...

In a sexy, sultry voice........You ought to get out of those wet clothes and into a dry martini.......

Dannon, so glad you weren't extra crispy. It's good to have you back.

Peace&Love and Jack (super Border Collie) rush into Lola's study, where she's busy writing, and give her big hugs and slurpy doggie kisses.

"Lola! I just had to stop in to say Hello! I'm going to get together this evening with little k, who is visiting in the Seattle area, and it reminds me so much of the time you and I got together in Seattle. So, I've been thinking about you, and the fun we had at Pike Place Market. I met little k, when I was in Boston/Cambridge two years ago, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her again."

Peace&Love skips happily down the stairs, trying not to trip over Jack, and gives hugs to everyone.

"Hey! I've missed you-all. little k has inspired me to come back to A2K, and connect with all my friends here. Of course, Lola's Salon was the first place that came to my mind!"

PaL is thinking to herself, "Ah, it's good to be here, in New York City, at Lola's."

Jack is wagging his tail, "Woof." (translation: "I hope the Scooby Snacks are stilll in the kitchen cupboard.")

Very Happy

Greetings P & L! Nice to see YOU here! I am all fired up right now over at BillW's home out in the country in the Midwest north of Dallas. I was planning to sleep right away (prone is a good thing!) so I could recover a bit from the stress and road weary bone-shaking parts of the journey back to Illinois from my trip to San Antone. Here I figgered I'd be down for the count by now, and I've had a most delightful time with a young artist and writer here, had a shower, washed clothes, and now am checking email and posting forums.

After a week on the road, this is surely a paradice for me. And that is doubly-so - to walk into the home of an online friend welcoming you with all the family, wow! There's art on the walls, artifacts and collections, music playing, lots of rock specimens just laying around on the ground for the finding here in the country, and even, even a computer systems with all the bells and whistles! Now what more can a cobalt ask! Ha ha! Hopes are up that the local Wal-Mart can work some one hour photo projects for me and maybe tonight to post up.

P & L - you didn't know , but my youngest son John is now an Airman, so that's why the trip to San Antone. Saw the Armadillo in Dallas too, and just missed mac11 and Lola due to my inbility to get all my ducks sorted properly. Sigh. But, it has been quite a journey and more to come! Did you hear the one about the great street party I went to in Austin and my new decorative and creative work? Finally finally got a tat! DANG that littlek for turning me onto that www.vanishingtattoo.com! LOL! More later, time for bushed babushka here to lay down and rest...
