This is great Eva! This gathering is taking on a quality of excitement. So many fun people. And part of the charm is that there will be so many daughters and so many who have come to take us. We'll have good discussions and there will be cherubs gone bad, really bad. And we'll eat good food and stay up really late and make mischief, and talk about stuff and eat and talk about stuff some more. We'll be subversive and then we'll punish ourselves for it and then we'll do it again. Or we can fight over whether we should be punished for it and then we can make up and be friends again. I'm getting all excited just talking about it. But it will all be in good fun and safe as safe can be. Or maybe not too safe, just dangerous and safe enough to maintain that thrilling balance. So let's all do it. Cool

Sounds fun, but no punishing ourselves. That's not for me!

I have spent time in every major city in Texas except Austin (which is ironic, because so many people compare it to Tulsa, green hills, etc.) I will see if I can make it happen. Have major project beginning Oct. 1, so they tell me. But that could be pushed back. We shall see...

Don't worry Eva, these are not unpleasant punishments. Our superegos are actually quite tolerant........most of the time and when we slip up, it's easily and rapidly corrected. That is, it's true for most of us anyway.

I think I'll put on my bathing suit and go sit by the pool today. I need a break and some leisure.

I think I'll join you. Just let me finish addressing these invitations first. Do you mind terribly that I've invited a few of our friends over to celebrate the Fourth of July?

That's a very good idea, Eva. We should have a 4th party. We can invite our friends from around the world and have a little fun......pass around a dubie and splash in the pool. Then at night, we can play some poker and drink beer.

Just got word from cobalt and she is blasting through the middle of the USA like flash himself. At this time she is in Eureka, Missouri - about 370 miles NE of Tulsa. She is wide awake and very thankful for the rain and cool weather - air conditioner out. Here is a prayful best for the ones on the road and a thankful prayer for their safety!

For those who don't know, she is zooming to her son's graduation from Air Force basic in San Antonio and must be there by 3 pm on Thursday.

danon entered the salon looking a little singed around the edges, and with a very slight whisp of smoke smoldering behind.
"Withers, a double please, my usual" said danon.
"Pardon Sir, but may I inquire what sinistral issue has come upon you?" asked Withers.
"It was a dark and sultry night" began danon, "there came a sudden storm. I was at my computer when, of a sudden, I felt a jolt in my hand while holding the mouse. The lightning strike had hit our home directly. It seemed like hours passed but I'm sure it was only seconds when, sitting in the darkness, I began to wonder if I still had a computer. A little while later the lights came back on and I restarted the comp. It ran, but the poor mouse was dead. A new mouse later, I again restarted the comp. This time the program began and the mouse worked, but no modem. A new modem later, restart, connect to internet, ok, but apparently something else was wrong. A trip to the comp doctor revealed the mother board had suffered injury. That replaced, the HD erased, cleaned and reloaded, I gave it a try. It is working again. That's my story. And, I'm sticking with it."

((Everyone be very careful when lightning is around. I have protection through the electrical wiring - HOWEVER, the surge of electricity came in through the telephone wires!!!!!!!))
((Also, I'm reading about the Texas gathering!! I would like sooo much to go, BUT, we will be in Vienna, Austria when that happens - so look forward to next time. Or, a mini-get-together after we return to visit the new Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth.))

jeez, danon...feeling a little crispy around the edges?

Glad to hear you're okay, even if your computer wasn't.

Wow, Danon. Lightening struck our house once and knocked out all the phones and some other stuff. Dangerous stuff, lightening. But it is beautiful.

Too back about the Texas gathering........but when you get back, I may be in Dallas, and could meet you, just let me know.

I'm working on some writing and can't be around as much as usual, but I'll be checking in here often to stay in touch.

I think Withers can be a little too good on occasions. I've heard he can get the unavailable things, that he can do special favors and that he is in the know in the Corridors of Power
