Let me go! Let me go!

(Hairy, muscled barbarian has lifted Viz onto saddle in front of him, takes off following HofT and Stradee. Poor Viz, Lola and Diane are wearing appropriate outfits, but she didn't have time to change! Galloping horsie causing much embarrassment with bikini top...)

PUT ME DOWN, I SAY! I CAN'T SHOW UP IN AUSTIN LIKE THIS!!!

HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!!! Do these barbarians speak English?!

Lola's
Hoft thankfully clarifies <Stradee meant only four-legged darling horses>

And the entire Salon begins their rescue of captured horses destined <not if we have anything to say about it> for Texas slaughterhouses.

Oak ~ good idea! American Indians showing tremendous restraint! It's time we all ban together and possee toward Austin ~ <California Indian gaming club tribes a great resource for support of slaughter ban>

Lola looking very chic in her new riding attire, Hiama, Hoft and Marycat <nice to meet ya btw> hovering over Texas slaughterhouse 1 when suddenly Danon appears in his souped up Mustang and begins stirring up dessert sand blocking murdourous chutes preventing the horses from being led toward killing floor.

Stradee, Timber, and Oak causing havoc at slaughterhouse 2 where loud speakers announce from ATV that there is a hurricane expected and all the horses must be released immediately!

Dys, Bill W, and Geronimo are seen riding their horses toward Texas ~

Lola's
Stradee notices one Barbarian missing and asks Lola "Where's Vis"?

Both woman Shocked Shocked set clicker coordinates to thump mode. One Barbarian and a screaming Viz land safely on ATV.

"Now take your hands off me ya big lug" Viz says as she smacks the Barbarian a good one that lands squarely on the top of his noggin.

"Hi Viz ~ not to worry about what to wear" says Lola. "I've brought extra gear for emergencies."

"Hi Viz" greets Stradee "Great right hook. Now what shall we do with your Barbarian"?

WHEW!!...(straightening clothing and pushing hair out of eyes)...Thank you, L & S! What a wild ride that was! Bobbing up and down with all those bulging muscles would have been divine, but that damn tool belt kept hitting me!...(rubbing sore spots)...

(spying Lola's extra riding habit)...Oh yes, that will be MUCH better!...(changing clothes)...how lucky that we wear the same size, Lola!...I must have dropped my clicker somewhere back there in the dust. Thump mode, huh? I didn't know they could do that...Hmmm, that gives me an idea...(spotting barbarian slumped in the corner, still unconscious from vicious right hook)...let's click Mr. Bulges straight into the governor's office in Austin! Let him wreak a little havoc there!

(Stradee pins hastily written note on Barbarian's loincloth explaining seriousness of protest.)

Ladies, all together now...(click! click! click!)

Now, let's hurry and save those precious horsies!...

Diane, finally dressed in more appropriate Annie Oakley garb, spies a goon trying to trap the horses for slaughter. She slowly walks up to him and says, "Feelin' lucky, cowboy?" When the goon starts to talk (grunt) she ropes him and ties him onto an especially wild mustang, which she then slaps on the rump, watching the fine horse and the poor excuse for a man go racing and bucking off into the sunset.
Spotting a barbarian with a goon flung over his shoulder, she decides these guys might be more interesting than she originally thought. At least they're fighting a good fight.

OH good night! I just clicked on OaK's link and discovered the Barbarians are rugby players! Oh well, in the words of a bumper sticker I saw years ago, "it takes leather balls to play rugby."

Sik'em barbarians..........here, here's a ball now stop those big lugs from needless sacrifice of innocent horse life!

Lola, a little tired from all the excitement, decides to take a short champagne break and watch the barbarian/big lug action from the sidelines.

I think I may need to join Lola in a glass of champagne. (No, not IN, the glass, it was a figure of speech.) *sip* Ooooh this is delicious!

Wow, those barbarians have some impressive rounding-up skills! Now, the question is, where do we take the horses so they'll be ultra-safe? Do you have enough room in the stables, Lola? And do they lock?
And how many horses can we click with each clicker?
Ah, logistics.

Howdy Viz, I think that we have an excellent area for the ponies. It's called the 'Hole in the Wall Corral' said danon, It's easily accessible from Lola's Salon and all the 'horsies' will be safe there.

With that, danon turned and dusted his chaps before unbuckling them and hanging them on a nail above his saddle.

He had just returned from New Orleans where he and Scorpion had participated in the late Mardi Gras parades. That, after a visit to Vicksburg, MS with his friends from San Francisco, CA.

Hello, danon! What a great solution for the horsies! That sounds just perfect...we can check up on them easily that way.

Why don't you kick off those boots and "set a spell"? Withers, can you bring us more of that champagne Lola and marycat are enjoying? Our new guest looks downright "parched"...

Now, tell us about your trip to New Orleans...I just love that place!

Hi Viz !!

E vill Ah bissell Moet & Chandon Withers, Thanks.

Well ! Our trip was grand !! However, I did read your description of a trip you made through Northern Italy. Really nice !! My Patti and I visited the hometown of her father there in 2001. She met soooo many cousins she had no idea of and we had an absolutely great visit for the month we were there. The town is Val D' Astico, and is appropriately located in a beautiful valley in the same area you have told us you visited. Great place isn't it !!!

Well, we are retired. What day is it?

I am guilty of asking clerks the date hoping they will tell me what year it is.

<<kidding!!>>

We are planning Sep in Vienna - maybe Oct and Nov too. We've friends there who have an apartment where we stay - THAT helps a lot. Thank heaven for friends.

Hiama wanders into the Salon to the accompaniment of Diane's snoring and a certain fragrant smell.

Ah that'll be Diane's socks, she always powders them with Madame Pompadour's fragrant elegance perfumed talc, wonderfully suggestive of a warm spring evening in Tuscany as the sun is going down and the locals in the taverna call out to each other and the birds echo the spirit of the landscape in their night song.

Withers could I have a triple expresso please work beckons and I need some sustenance. Thank you old friend, is there any one else here at this early hour I wonder ?
