So you found the list of terrorist attacks on US soil.
I mentioned that post,so you finding it is no surprise.
BUT,I dont say Bin Laden was responsible for those attacks, just that they happened.

Your second link is to a news report about Clinton getting warned about Bin Laden in 1996.
I copied a news article verbatim and posted it.

So,I ask again, where have I ever made the claim?

Frist's Southern Hospitality

By Al Kamen
Friday, April 7, 2006; A17

It was with some trepidation that we opened a most interesting card, which announced on a blue-jeaned cowboy's belt buckle something called the "5th Annual VOLPAC '06 Weekend" in Nashville on April 21-23.

Problem was you had to unbuckle the cowboy's pants and look inside to see what this was all about. Seemed a bit too "Brokeback Mountain."

Imagine our relief to find only that we were "cordially invited" to the event honoring Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and "Mrs. Bill Frist, M.D." This is Frist's political action committee to raise money for other senators, making friends and positioning him nicely for his 2008 presidential bid.

Big-time donors can golf, ride bikes, tour a recording studio and have lunch at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Then, after a cozy cocktail reception, there's Saturday night at the Grand Ole Opry and breakfast at the lovely Hermitage Hotel on Sunday morning.

"Don't miss a celebration of southern hospitality," the invite says, "one-of-a-kind music and special friends . . ." though it's unclear who those friends are and what makes them special.

The back of the card shows the cowboy from behind with a red flowered handkerchief sticking out of his right pocket. Wait a minute -- wasn't there something about how this used to be some kind of code in the gay community years ago? A way to signal each other in crowded, noisy bars?

So we checked the GayCityUSA.com's Hanky Codes. Sure enough, there it was in the chart explaining what they mean: red hanky in right pocket. Oh, dear.

mm...

Are you saying the list is NOT valid? You certainly claimed it was when you posted it.
Let me quote directly from your post...

Quote:
7 August
Kenya
A bomb exploded at the rear entrance of the US Embassy in Nairobi, killing 12 US citizens, 32 Foreign Service Nationals (FSNs), and 247 Kenyan citizens. Approximately 5,000 Kenyans, six US citizens, and 13 FSNs were injured. The US Embassy building sustained extensive structural damage. The US Government is holding terrorist financier Usama Bin Ladin responsible.

Quote:
Tanzania

Almost simultaneously, a bomb detonated outside the US Embassy in Dar es Salaam, killing seven FSNs and three Tanzanian citizens, and injuring one US citizen and 76 Tanzanians. The explosion caused major structural damage to the US Embassy facility. The US Government holds Usama Bin Ladin responsible.

The US government felt that Bin Ladin and Al Qaeda was responsible so any attack would have been retailiation and not preemptive. It matters not whether you quoted it or said it directly.

Your silly statement remains silly. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda could have been attacked prior to 9/11 and it would NOT have been preemptive. Reports that Al Qaeda were preparing to hijack planes, while vague, were not the only reason to go after them.

As for the second posting I made mm.. I suggest you read your NEXT statement after the newsmax article you quoted.

I repeat my original question...In light of this evidence, why didnt Clinton do anything then?
Thats all I asked.

Why didn't Clinton do what? A preemptive strike? or are you asking why he didn't do a RETALIATION? You seem to think there was a LOT of evidence of Bin Laden and crimes in 1996 and Clinton is guilty for not acting. Now you imply there was no such evidence in 2001 and Bush had no real excuse other than preemption.

In 1971, the rock group The Who released the antiwar anthem Won't Get Fooled Again. To most in my generation, the song conveyed a sense of betrayal by the nation's leaders, who had led our country into a costly and unnecessary war in Vietnam. To those of us who were truly counterculture--who became career members of the military during those rough times--the song conveyed a very different message. To us, its lyrics evoked a feeling that we must never again stand by quietly while those ignorant of and casual about war lead us into another one and then mismanage the conduct of it. Never again, we thought, would our military's senior leaders remain silent as American troops were marched off to an ill-considered engagement. It's 35 years later, and the judgment is in: the Who had it wrong. We have been fooled again.

Sometimes the truth sucks, but that doesn't change it from being the truth!!

I am not saying that there was no evidence in 2001,and I did not say that there was evidence in 1996.
Our intelligence agencies said there was evidence in 1996,they reported to the President, who in turn did nothing.

Again,I did NOT accuse OBL of anything, the govt did.

As for why didnt Clinton act,I dont know.
I do find it interesting that he did nothing after the first WTC attack, then he did nothing after the Khobar Towers attack, then he did nothing after the attack on the USS Cole.
Even you cannot deny that.

Again, you have danced around the issue.
You have successfully shown where I reported what was in the news, but you have not shown where I CLAIMED that OBL was responsible.
I did show where the govt, even under Clinton, thought OBL was responsible and did nothing.

I havent done anything yet,so you cant pre-emptively attack me.
So your example is complete nonsense since even you admit that the government thought Bin Laden had attacked the US and any response could not be preemptive.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear in my original post. What's up with Republican PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS and Sex?

(I too adore the little gray donkey named Roger, and didn't mean to make a broad statement about every single republican in the country.)

I doubt that, given the over-blown ( ) response to Bill and Monica, democrats holding public office are doing the same things but not getting any ink just because such is expected from "liberals." You can bet there'd be plenty of reporting if that were the case.

Thanks to a few who have managed to post examples between the little cat fight that occured. There are plenty more.

Google "Republican Sex" and you get THIS. (27,700,00 - Mostly references to weird sex by Republican office holders)

Google "Democrat Sex" and you get THIS. (13,800,00 - Mostly Same Sex Marriage issue, Clinton, or hits due to the paper itself having "Democrat" in it's name)

I'd forgotten about the Representative from Georgia saying on the air that he had had sex with a mule, and most farm kids do!

They even seem to have a pinchant for writing "dirty" books.

So, am I over generalizing or are you guys trying to be politically correct by claiming it's a universal thing?

and how long would the list of dems be if you wanted to find out the party affiliation of every person ever convicted of the same crimes?

Or,are you saying that only repubs commit crimes like this?
There is another choice, that being that dems are better at hiding the crimes they commit,or are better at silencing the witnesses againt them.

Personally,I am glad you published that list.
It shows that the repubs that are criminals do get caught and go to prison.

I guess the dems either dont get caught,or dont go to prison, right.

Lokk what this guy wrote. I can't beleive it. The stats he's askig about are above his head. Dems cheat on their wives but they don't do this;

Surely you don't believe democratic lawmakers are immune to the same types of crimes?

Quote:
Representative Mel Reynolds, Democrat of Illinois,... was indicted on Aug. 21 on charges that he had sex with an under-age campaign volunteer and asked her to suply him with pornographic photographs of another youngster. He was also charged with trying to cover up the offenses by lying to investigators and persuading the victim to recant falsely.

I hope that every idiot that preys on children is not only locked up, but castrated. To think this is solely a republican issue though is to just be argumentative.

Anyone who sexually molests children is a sick criminal.
.
Anyone who preaches family values as part of his party platform and who then sexually molests children is much worse.

Walter started a list of bad Democrats. Great.
.
Now if you continue the list until you get 45 Democrats, the two parties will be even.
.
So far the Republicans are way ahead.
