Sorry, if you said that about Bible and Jesus, I'd still think it's a hateful ridicule of people's believes. I have none, so I don't care whether it's Christianity, Islam, budhism... they're the same to me. I guess I'm out of the sidelines now.

I just woke up and decided to share this for anyone who cares.

The boss I was talking about--we e-mail each other items...funny, interesting, pertaining to Jewish issues--and I sent her nimh's article about the anti-Semitic comedian--and our discussion about it ended with her crying--

I didn't say why. During that conversation, she talked about how her husband, science professor, has his name in Hebrew on his door. She said when her Parisian cousin and his wife were here recently and saw that, he couldn't believe that was possible. He said he'd NEVER have any reference to Judaism like that on his home or office--and they don't put Jewish symbols or lettering on children's schools out of fear that they'll be attacked. He lives in anonymity in France, because of the level of anti-Semitism.

He has to hide who he is. That's not freedom.

Well, I'm not sure.

I do know, however, that univerities here would at least ask their employees to write their names in Latin on the doors, no matter, how the write at home.

When I've been in France/Paris three weeks ago, I didn't observe such. (Might have been a selective view, since it was abbāth, and the Jewish presence was therefore much more obvious.)

The Holocaust came only to France after it was occupied by Germans, btw.
