Libra Horoscope for week of April 24, 2003

Do you believe there is such a thing as the human soul? If not, you should stop reading right now; I'll talk with you again next week. But if you do believe, how would you define it? More importantly, what does your own soul feel like? I suggest that in the coming week you make frequent attempts to tune in to that elusive essence. Use all your ingenuity and persistence as you try to create a stronger bridge between your everyday awareness and your heart source, your seed code, your eternal song.

Hmmmm ... Rolling Eyes

Here's mine:

Virgo: Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough
sense to be lazy.

Gee, I also thought I was the only one who had read 'Psychology and Alchemy'... Shocked

How's this, CF?:

Virgo Horoscope for week of April 24, 2003

One of my early astrology teachers, Isabel Hickey, had a favorite saying: "Before you can give yourself away, you have to have a self to give." This should be your seed meditation for the foreseeable future, Virgo. I am not implying that you don't have a self. But you do have a lot of work to do to define and strengthen your sense of who you are. In the coming weeks, I'd love you to visualize a flame in your heart growing steadily bigger and brighter and hotter.

Cav -- You forgot the Sagittarius!

Here's a link to an explanation of sighting the new moon...

Crescent Moon Visibility

Quote:
The record for an early sighting of a lunar crescent, with a telescope, is 12.1 hours after New Moon; for naked-eye sightings, the record is 15.5 hours from New Moon. These are exceptional observations and crescent sightings this early in the lunar month should not be expected as the norm. ... Generally, low latitude and high altitude observers who know exactly where and when to look will be favored. For observers at mid-northern latitudes, months near the spring equinox are also favored, because the ecliptic makes a relatively steep angle to the western horizon at sunset during these months (tending to make the Moon's altitude greater).

So, if there are clear skies we may be able to see the new moon after sunset on Friday, May 2nd. Very Happy

Real Astrology for Capricorn (this week - wed-wed)

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Are other people luckier than you? If so, you can do something about it, according to psychologist Richard Wiseman. His book, The Luck Factor, presents research that proves you can learn to be lucky. It's not a mystical force you're born with, in other words, but a habit you can develop. How? For starters, be open to new experiences, trust your gut wisdom, expect good fortune, see the bright side of challenging events, and master the art of maximizing serendipitous opportunities. I mention this, Capricorn, because you're now in a phase when you can make tremendous progress in enhancing your capacity to attract luck.

What does this mean <..>

Observing the first visible moon in the dusk after the new moon was vital for many of ancient people, because it meant the beginning of a new month. The first observation of the moon was reported to the king, and the calendar belonged to the authority of the king.

I like to greet the returning moon as an old friend and want to know when to expect him.Wink

Quote:
Today you might suffer from an irresistible impulse to put your home in order. You might want to give it a good and thorough cleaning, or you might want to do a little decorating, or perhaps make some minor but necessary repairs. A new decoration, either a sculpture of some kind or a painting or tapestry for the wall, might inspire this desire. By the time you're done, your place should look fabulous. Go to it!
