I got results of my half yearly appraisals yesterday and I have been rated as an "exceptional" performer (that shud give you an idea as to how dumb the senior management of my company is

. Trouble is that even this highest rating is not looking like translating into a promotion or pay hike !
Also had a meeting with my new boss, who told me his vision for the future (by the time he plans on how to get there, hopefully I will be out of here). The only good thing is that he is keeping my portfolio intact for te time being, though he says that he needs my expertise to help out in other areas. That means more work on same pay.
