That would be fun c.i............Austin in December, yes.

But we should definitely invite Tartarin. Actually we need to talk her into it if she's resistant. We can't have this gathering without her.

edgar and Tart have indicated they will be probably unavailable to attend (via PM to me) due to scheduling conflicts.

We'll miss y'all, and hope something happens to make it possible for you to make it.

You'll be welcome even at the last minute.

What about everyone else?

I changed the dates on the title of this thread to 10/10-10/12, since it looks like no one's staying til Monday. Very Happy

I PMed the following folks. They have all expressed an interest, or I know they're nearby. Let me know if I missed anyone.

Since my work situation has changed, it looks like I will probably make it! Woohoo!

Brian may or may not accompany me to some events. (My hope is that he won't be able to make it, because he'll be off the crutches and working again by then!)

And now to catch up and put the specifics in my planner.

You are welcome, marycat. Very Happy

So is Saturday night going to be the bat cruise and 6th Street? Or do we want to do 6th St. on Friday?

I requested Sat. night for the bat boat, and they are supposed to advise me.

For those of you local, that is Capitol Cruises at 512-480-9264.

My answer is yes to Saturday, as we'll be arriving somewhat late (although certainly not too late for Sixth) for activity on Friday.

PD, are you doing dinner on the bat cruise?

No, the HI said the dinner cruise as part of their package had expired, and besides when I got that information I clarified that the two cruises were mutually exclusive (bats or fajitas but not both).

So Capitol still does a dinner cruise, but it's after the bats fly and you can't coordinate it with a room package at the HI.

I see you workin', Bill; the bats leave their roost under the bridge at about dusk, which is 7:30ish these days and will probably be closer to 7 (pm, CDT of course) by mid-October.

So if the boat departs the dock at 6:30 and returns at 7:30...we'll be ready to eat and Drunk afterwards.

Let's plan a nice dinner and a Sixth Street pub crawl for Saturday night.
