Most of us are familiar with images of this part of the country, already. However, I will be posting photos here during the next several days.
About four months ago, my daughter took four of our grandchildren and she and her husband moved to Aurora, which is about a half hour drive from Denver's airport. She sent us tickets to fly up there, so that's what we did. We went on one of those Continental torture chambers they call a plane, made good time, and were quickly on the ground. We found the airport confusing and caused our daughter to drive around the loop a number of times, before we were able to fetch our luggage and find the pick up spot.
They have a nice townhouse on a cul de sac. The first day we did little, and the second, Christmas Day, it snowed from dusk til dawn. We visited and watched television, mostly. Next day, we went to the Buffalo Bill museum. It had been our intent to also go to Pike's Peak, but, time limitations scotched that.
Next day, it snowed from dusk to dawn again. Friday, we went back in the mountains, a little deeper than the BBM. Later, at home, we sledded and played with the children. Woke up at 3:30 AM to go back to the airport. More later.
