Hey Joe,
I've found that the faster it goes on, the faster it comes off. You'll be back in gear in no time.
Hope dinner went well

I had a good day yesterday with food and exercise. Today won't be so good unless I get out there with dh and start shovelling. We're digging out from under 10 inches of new snow on top of the 2-3 we had yesterday morning. Shovelling is not my favorite way to work out so I'll leave that to the muscle man. I'll probably stick in a pilates tape and do some light dumb bells and call it done.

Midweek weighin today was 174, down from 176 on Monday, but it waffled between 173.5 and 174 before settling in. Another good day with eating should see a better drop tomorrow.

edit: I did the light weights and the pilates tape then checked on dh and he was only about 1/2 done after almost 2 hours so I went out and we finished it up in another hour. 10 inches of very wet heavy snow. Each shovel full felt like it weighed 50 lbs. Guess I can claim a full workout today afterall.

Still 176, but I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese for breakfast.
Bad George! Bad!

Must atone for my sins with a good jog.

173.5 today, down 2.5 since Monday. I hope to maintain this over the weekend 'cuz I never seem to ba able to lose on those days. No workout today but I'm cleaning the house so that will count for something.

Why do I seem to be able to gain weight in 3 -5 lb increments but only lose it 0.5 lbs at a time. grrrr.

Have a good weekend everyone.

There is probably some cosmic reason for that or it might be that we eat in great forkfulls but only sweat in droplets.

OO that does sound cosmic.

I like the shorts.

I wasn't planning on a workout today because I was wiped out after yesterday but the roof started leaking, grrrr, called the roofer (new roof) and told them to come on over, but then I had to shovel a path for them to get to the front door. We'd managed to skip that yesterday. Shovel for shovel today's is heavier because it's more dense but dh is at work so I had the honor. I figure I just shoveled about a ton of snow. Now I get to mop up the puddles from the leaks, grrrrr.

Damn, 177 - that's up one from last Monday. Weekends do me in. Big b'day dinner coming up next weekend so I'm on a mission 'til then. I was at 173.5 on Friday. I'll try to get below that at some point this week.

busy day today, I'll try to do some exercising at lunch time.

I am all sore from shoveling too. We had snow with rain two days ago, all froze beautifully overnight, so i shoveled for 3 hours yesterday. I actually BROKE two shovels. My hands were shaking so much I could barely lift a glass of water. Today everything just plain hurts. Feels good, I always loved muscle ache. Will try to get on the eliptical and ab cruncher, too. Oh, I joined Weight Watchers yesterday. I figured since I have to pay, maybe I will observe their regimen better that in self-imposed diets before. Yah right. We'll see where it takes me. My parents come on Feb. 14th to visit, want to loose a few pounds by then. 10-15 would be good.

I'm pissed. Last week, I was hungover Monday, so couldn't go to the gym. Went Tuesday, skipped Wed and Thurs because had plans after work, and Friday I didn't go because lack of sleep.

This week I'm going to NY from Tue night to Thurs night, so can't go those nights. This blows. I'll go back to being weak as hell next week.

slappy - you could throw a couple spry bands in your luggage, then the only problem is feeling guilty for not using them.

Weighed in at 175 this morning, so I did not lose ground this weekend.

I ran a 4 mile jog Saturday morning as it started to snow, then did some
shoveling. Did some painting inside after that. I was cooked.

Nebeyaki Udon (mmm noodles!) for dinner.

No real exercise on Sunday, plus pizza for lunch.

Too many carbs, but the exercise seems to have nullified them.

I did some upper body strength training this morning and managed to keep to about 1100 cals yesterday in an attempt to quick-start a recovery from the weekend.

I'm trying to stay under 1200 through Friday and then limit the damage over the weekend.

174 today, close to where I was last Friday.
