I haven't been able to ride this winter near as much as I was able to in the summer, so, I've resorted to that boring old standby, running.

I ended up skipping the weight training yesterday, doing abs instead so I did a full weight workout this morning and 24 mins on the bike at level 5. I'm beat.

Major storm headed this way so I'll probably pull out my pilates tapes for tomorrow.

Forget running - a strain on the constitution. I shall cut out dairy and institute green tea... once home from cheese capital of the world, Switzerland.

i've been good for days, worked out, tortured myself with apple cider vinegar, ate healthy and little. then had friends for dinner last night, and although stayed away from sweets, i made it all up on cheeses of all sorts. life... so tough.

Hello again, fellow weight-losers.

I weighed in at 178 pounds yesterday. That's a ten-pound gain in the last
three months. So it's time to get back in training. My eating habits have
deteriorated and I've been slacking off on my exercise. No more!

Nunc cœpi. Now I begin.

Jogged four miles at lunch.

Way to go George.

Dagmaraka, if I had to dive into something, I'd want it be a platter of cheeses. I think I could give up my morning coffee before I could give up cheese, and I drink a LOT of coffee.

I only gained about 4 pounds through the holidays, so it shouldn't be hard to get back on track. I've been eating the right stuff again for a couple of days now, so I'm getting back into the habit.

I refuse to give up holiday goodies, though. And I'd do it again. Ya gotta enjoy yourself sometimes.

I'm with you Eva. I gain 10 lbs every year from Halloween through New Years. Then lose it again in January and February. I've probably lost the same 10 lbs 5 times now. I enjoy the holidays too much to give up the treats.

I walked 4 miles on the treadmill at 4 mph and did abs this morning.

Eva & J_B, right on! I wouldn't have passed up a single glass of eggnog
or plate of Christmas cookies. But as Baretta used to say, "Don't do the
crime if you can't do the time."

176 pounds at morning weigh-in. This could be a good sign.

5 km on the Concept II rower. Pretty fair pace, too. (I was too much of
a weenie to run in the snow.)

I used to row and it started to make my back big, so I switched to the stairmaster. I did like rowing though.

Yeah, you use the rower enough and you get some serious muscle in the
upper back. These days I only use it for cross training (i.e. the weather
is too lousy to run). I really should plan out a routine that would mix
more upper body stuff into my workouts. Got a rotator cuff problem, so I
don't do weights the way I used to.

How often do you use the stairmaster?

I just started working out again, (took a break from exercising)

My workouts consist of biking and stairmaster. I am so out of shape, but I'm fortunate because I like to exercise, it will be a renewed addiction in no time.
I quit smoking 5 day's ago, and need to rebuild my stamina all over again. I don't mind. Anything is better than smoking.

I miss jogging, I was up to 12 miles a day at one point.

Okay, here I am again.

(It was a wonderful vacation.)

Eleven pounds in so many days.

But I'm on my program and have gone from 235.6
to 230.4 since Sunday.

Congratulations to PJ for quitting smoking!
