Despite the snow, I took a walk at lunch (recent minor surgery limits my exercise options). I felt quite proud of myself.
Haven't gotten on the scale for a while. Joe's got the right idea; I'll wait till I've put in new batteries.
Joe and George
I love you.
New batteries - why didn't I think of that!
Because the scales are mechanical, you idiot!
My recent bout of crap health has put me right off food, so it's not all bad.
Bad ways to good places, Margo! I do not own scales; the scales have fallen from my eyes; with no scales, I cannot diet. Hope you feel better soon nonetheless...
margo~
I wouldn't trust those scales until you replace the springs -- or whatever the heck mechanical scales use.
Get well soon.
When I see ads that say "lose weight without diet or exercise", I always think "well, that leaves illness." No, thanks.

Unfortunately my scale doesn't realize how much I covet tact, but the critter is exceedingly truthful.
George--
Prevention information can be a little flaky, but the magazine makes a wonderful cheering section for the flawed dieter.
I've renewed my acquaintance with Mr. Scale. He said "169". I said "back in the closet".
I wish he would say that to me. I'd have lost 10 lbs.
I got the stitches taken out of my wrist Yesterday so today was my first run in over a week. Felt good. Slow, but good. Now if I can just stay away from the cookie jar...
George--
If you touch the cookie jar, THEY will stitch your wrist again.
Be bold, strong and resolute!
...but they're nice big chocolate chip cookies...
I just weighed myself for the first time 3 day's ago, I'm 10 lbs. heavier than I thought I was
If I just cut out 1/2 of the junk food I could lose it, supposedly.
In a desperate attempt to figure out where the 10lbs. came from, I asked the person who owned the scale if it was broke, they replied.........no.
Never trust anyone else's scale.

I tried not to George, but they had the audacity to tell me the truth
I know, I'll get my own scale and set it at whatever I feel like weighing.
Thank you everyone, I knew this problem would get solved for me, and right here on A2K! Wheeeew. Thanks George, I'd have to say you were right there for me when I needed someone <holding back the tears>
To everyone-
Have a BIGHT and SUNNY A2K Day!
