Well done, Seaglass!
Have a ball!
Seaglass--
You'll be spectacular. Hold your dominion.
Last night I read Bill Bass's Death's Acre: Inside the Legendary Forensic lab "The Body Farm" Where the Dead Do Tell Tales.
Murder will out!
An unsavoury fact: Obese bodies decay much more quickly than lean and muscular types. Maggots are particularly fond of fat and maggots can devour more than 40 pounds of fat from a corpse in less than 24 hours.
The fattier the corpse, the greater the smell and the greater the attraction for egg-laying blowflies....
Inspiring?
Eeeek, quite inspiring. I hope I'll fall into a pit of fire as soon as I drop dead.
I can barely move my hands - spent all saturday digging in the backyard. I airrated the whole of backyard, with a claw size of my hand. I could have gone and gotten some more sensible tool, but I'd have to be someone else, not me. When I start something, I need to finish, can't take breaks or stop. So, 3 blisters later, backyard is looking great, i put down grass seeds, and am looking forward to a scrumptious lawn. Then I 'exercised' - I turn on music, jump around, lift weights and such. That caused muscle aches elsewhere. Yesterday went binking, 25 miles, and was happy to notice that I flew up the hill that usually caused me to curse my existence and hate everything living. 2 weddings next weekend, but i am not afraid.
Dagmaraka--
You move too fast for maggots to settle in.
Older Son's Graduation Party was Sunday. Great fun, much food. Now it's time to pay the piper, but I don't mind. Four miles at lunch. Average pace was 8:50. I should be doing much better.
Cheers all around to all.

How do I do it?
When passing the pastry shelf at Starbucks, I keep my mouth shut.
Back to real training.
1,000m swim on Saturday
55min run (over lots of hills!) Sunday
Gym sesssion (20min bike, lots of stretches and core stability work, 800m swim) Monday
Today, it's a work annual conference in the evening but I'll be good and not drink much.
Weight hasn't changed much (still c. 100kg/220lbs but more muscle and less fat - which is fine). Time to lose some more fat, though.
7 weeks until the big day (London Triathlon)!
I can detect lots of dominion-holding out there...keep it up!
KP
I have been pigging out on Indian food like nobody's business. Have put on 2 kgs in one and a half weeks I have been here.
I am thinking of opening The A2K (virtual) Weight Gain Club
Hmmmmm!
I did notice that this page was tilting to the left a bit!
i'll even it out, not to worry. we got two large shopping bags full of cookies at the office - all sorts of kinds and all delicious. it is 4 of us girls, and it is too darn tempting.
Sometime in the past 3 months, I've lost 3 pounds. Ehbeth, your post on the previous page sounded sooo familiar. I hadn't even realized that I had lost the weight--going to the doctor's office and weighing in was a pleasant surprise.
We really need to be more aware of our bodies and stop that habitual assumption that nothing positive has happened.
All of you are inspiring. I have tried to be aware of the times when I eat because I want Dys to gain weight or when I"m actually hungry.
Gautam, it's a good thing I wasn't with you eating Indian food--it'd be an extra 10 pounds!
Noddy, you are amazing. Holding your dominion is far more reliable than letting others tell you how you're doing.

First time in nine years that there hasn't been a 2, 3 or 4(!) in the ten column.
The numerologists amongst us should note that my next weight goal is to have one with no 'twos' in it at all --
Joe--
Wonderful. I've had a step back--because of a change in medicine, I have a five pound gain of water weight, but I certainly appreciate what you've achieved.
Keep holding--and loosing.
Joe~
Hey, Slim, way to go. There's just something about "magic numbers" isn't there? Next step, no twos between the toes when you step on the scale.
Noddy~
Will you be on that medication long? Kinda frustrating to be gaining weight beacuse of that. Hang in there!
Did five miles in the heat yesterday. Aiming to run twenty for the week. Twelve down, eight to go.
George--
Run in the heat? Be sure you tote plenty of water.
As for my weight gain, I have to choose between my too, too solid flesh and my too, too fragile bones. Right now the bones are winning, but come the fall....
I learned my hydration lesson the hard way about 10 years ago. Got lost on a street I must have run down 20 times before. Had no idea where I was, though I knew I should have. Scary.
George--
Without forethought, finding a good oasis can be difficult.
