Some notes from my riding book: (the one in my head)
Training for those with little or no time.
Find the nearest hill.
Climb it.
Make note of which gear you are in at the top.
Pedal (not coast) down.
Ride up again in one higher gear.
Do this till you run out of time or gears or both.
Go home shower and go to whatever you were late for when you started.
Using this technique in the long term:
You'll hit a point where it is too hard to go up a gear, so go
down two and ride up using that gear
until it is easy. Believe me, with enough climbs, it will become easy. Then go back up a gear again until that one is easy and so on till you not only don't see hills as evil, you won't see
hills.
