uhm.....mctag - i've never seen Parky...but that's a gross image and I now can't seem to get it out of my head.... for shame.....thats what I get for A2King while I should be listening to stuff going on at work.....
P.S. - have put on some jeans that I haven't been able to put on in months!!!!! go me go me
Onyxelle, Kitchen Pete--
Go, go, go, you both! Hold your dominions.
I've figured out what was wrong with my right ankle-it's tendonitis, managed two runs last week, very slow-first for 2 months.
Must be patient and hold my dominion
Hiama--
A good bit of getting fit is using self-denial and you can use self-denial standing on one leg. Your dominion sounds in good shape.
I've lost two more pounds. More importantly, I feel a little restless when I don't do my exercises.
I put on two pounds over Christmas, lost those already and a couple more.
Working on doing a sprint Triathlon in April before the September Olympic size one, will keep you all posted.
Most workouts are on stationary bike in gym, rower, a few weights and lots of swimming. Yes I still have tendinitis in my right ankle and its been too fierce for biking it in the great outdoors more than the odd day here and there.
Still holding my dominion, my palms are getting sweaty so I may have to put it down for a few minutes.
Hiama--
Good for you. I put on three pounds since early December--and then erased them this month. Obviously, some of the gain was water weight, but it is gone.
The weather is unkind for walkers, but I'm flailing my arms and legs and then cycling to nowhere.
By springtime--at least by summertime-- I may be a shadow of my former self.
Glad your dominion is holding.
Bloody hell !! I had forgotten all abt this thread !!!
As part of my NYR - I have quit booze - one factor which was contributing to a rapid weight (and paunch) gain, hit the gym - and will be reporting progress here !!
Target is that I should be able to take off my shirt on the beach this summer (which is hopefully going to be in the Bahamas) and not feel embarassed...
Hey Buddy,
Good stuff, you must report in though on ptogress so we can see you are not cheating.
I can recommend the Caribbean, had a nice week or so there in late November, unbelievably beautiful swimming in the sea-Barbados, St Lucia, Grenada
Only one day's training this weekend, had to travel on Saturday.
2000m in the pool followed by 30km on the stationary bike at the gym.
Good aerobic sessions.
Now concentrating on peaking for my first sprint triathlon in April, must remember to enter it !!
Two sessions in the gym over the weekend - 9 miles on the bike followed by 3 miles on the elliptical trainer.
Have a re-assessment session booked on sat - where the program will be upped by a gear - lost 1 kgs since the new year - current weight stands at 69 kgs. No booze, no snacking, only 2 cups of coffee per day, no coke are the contributing factors. Goal is to get the weight down to a healty 63 kgs and waist down to 30'' from 32'' by April.
Blimey G, you are practically invisible as it is at that weight unless you're 5 ft 4 ins , I feel like an elephant at 87kilos by comparison-aiming for 80 kilos initially , any less and I look anorexic
Whatever happended to Kitchen Pete I wonder and his Triathlon training ?
hiama,
I'm still here (well, in Oslo) and my training is going well.
Much fitter than before and I'm muscling up a bit, which gives me better shape, if not loss of weight.
I put a couple of kilos back on over Christmas/New Year but I'm feeling much better - particularly not smoking makes a HUGE difference to my life.
Off skiing on Thursday to Lake Tahoe for 3 weeks, so triathlon training will take a backseat to powder snow - still great exercise and I'll try to use the pool a couple of times in the evenings for upper body/rotator cuff workouts.
I'm still sore from a weights session I did with my Personal Trainer on Saturday - a power session!
Gautam - you're hardly there, man! I'm still just over 100kg (220lbs) though I'm no longer so bothered by the weight - I think I'll need to accept that about 85kg-90kg is my target range and just see how it goes to there. Must try harder!
I can sense that lots of dominion is being held, all round. We'll have to have a beach day down at Brighton sometime and show off our new bodies!
Planning to do a 10k run in about March and then maybe a couple of sprint Triathlons in June, working towards the London Triathlon at the end of July...all booked in and enjoying preparation.
Great stuff KP
I'm really enjoying my swimming now, I started in OcCtober not able to do a stroke of front crawl and now doing 80 x 25 m lenghts of drills and swimming a day, 5 day s a week.
Running is verboten as tendinitis a recurring theme, the aerobic fitness is ok though so I'll see what happens on the sprint tri in April.
Its in West Sussex if you are interested.
I think I will pass on London as its way to big for me, I ran in the great north Run years ago and that many people freak me out.
Keep it up and maybe get together in april or may to compare muscles.
Congratulations, gentlemen--
I lost another pound--I'm below my "start holiday" weight now. I've increased my exercycle time to thirty minutes and flinging my arms and legs around is getting easier.
Hiama--
Thanks for the kind words. Doing a necessary impersonation of Eliza Crossing the Ice, I acquired a small muscle pull in my right leg which will interfere with Noble Resolutions for a few days.
Diet Shuffle: Two steps forward, one step back.
Hold your dominion.
Noddy,
Sounds like the soft shoe shuffle !
