I cannot go to sleep if I am hungry - and considering that I normally have dinner arnd 2100 hrs at the earliest, fasting from 1900 is seeming to be almost impossible Sad

I have the opposite problem. I have to eat early, or I get bad digestive problems through the night. Not fun. Sad

Onyxelle--

Great on the walking, but I'm have doubts about the wisdom of ankle weights. I've heard from the owner of a gym that walking in ankle weights can cause damage to your hips and knees.

Some of the jock types here will know more about this.

Guatam--

Thank you so much for raising my level of chronic exasperation Because of your medical dwaddling, I'm burning at least six or seven more calories a day than I would otherwise. You are such a thoughtful, Executive Type.

Been away for a bit folks -caribbean cruise

So off the formal training for a couple of weeks, however swam around half a mile every day in the beautiful caribbean sea, walked up and down the stairs never took the lift in the ship and I'm raring to go after 2 weeks-also put absolutely no weight on during the cruise.

Weight now down to 88kilos from a start of 105 kilos back in April.

Swimming is improving, still looking forward to some proper coaching from Pete when he comes down. My soleus injury is finall clearing up after 7 weeks so might just try a gentle jog on Wednesday.

Had a crack on the concept 2 rower yesterday managed 3000m in 10mins 56 secs which I was pleased with so I reckon my aerobic fitness is not bad.

Welcome onyxelle-keep it up- its really using the ordinary everyday situations to your advantage, if its taking the garbage out-or walking your kids to the park-there are plenty of opportunities to exercise. Pete's idea of cutting out the alcohol is a good one , it is one that I personally struggle with -I am cutting DOWN though.

Hold your dominion all Very Happy

Update: Weight down to 100.2kg (220lbs). That's a loss of 4.6kg (10lbs) in 6 weeks. Yippee!!! It hasn't even been that hard. Laughing

Feeling fitter and stronger. Saturday sessions with my personal trainer are hard but rewarding (and make me work harder during the week to get ready).

Still a long way to go but I'll get there.

Go for it everyone!

Good work, Cav...I look forward to fitting into some clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a while!

Glad you enjoyed your time off, hiama. I fixed on only drinking one day per week. There's usually one particular occasion for me that warrants a few drinks (party/dinner out/celebration) - that way you can look forward/back just a few days and feel virtuous about not drinking mid-week/whatever.

So I saved up for 3 weeks and drank 3 times last week, but so what...I'll just drink once this week (friend's party on Saturday night).
