not too bad -- could have been much worse.

Today shall be a fruit day.

I leave again in a few days to spend next week with my east coast staffer -- she's stocking up on fruit.

Thanks to a dog with a gurgling gut, I was very short of sleep yesterday. Sure enough, I started stuffing my face.

I was stuffing my face even though I knew what I was doing.

Going to bed early was a Good Idea.

Hope you've gotten more sleep since then.

And how are you feeling, ehBeth?

I've been very unhappy about not exercising, but trying not to be too macho about it. There was a definite downturn, health-wise, after I exercised last, and probably has something to do with how long this has lasted, too, so I've been putting it off until I felt much better. I'm not all better but better than I've been in a while so I decided I'd give it a try today, while doing my best to stay reasonable.

I planned to do about half my regular workout -- at about half of that, or about a quarter of normal, I started feeling off. A deep core fatigue that was much different from usual, and woozy. Just stopped. Stretched a bit, came home.

Feel fine now.

I figure going at all is better than nothing, and plan to keep doing that until doing my normal routine is no big deal. Hopefully that won't be too long.

... the good news is, I feel markedly perkier! Even just that much exercise had an effect, I think, so long as I don't overdo it. (Writes "don't overdo it" on the chalkboard 250 times...)

Good for you, Soz.

Woozy.

Not a good word in any sentence containing workout.

I'm fighting the good fight.... I'm running a bit, doing my yoga, but, so far, results are meager.

Woozy is definitely a important Body to Soz communication.

How is the humidifier working?

I'm a bit perkier--sleep helps.

gained one pound last week. Could have been much worse. I'm leaving today for another four days of business travel. Hoping for status quo by next Sunday.

The agony and the errr agony.

I've lost seven pounds since I started taking the antibiotics. Most of that simply from the loss of appetite related to the antibiotics. The balance seems to be from the loss of a little bit of muscle Evil or Very Mad

I went back to dance class tonight - with the broken toe nicely taped up - and two heavily padded socks on that foot. I made it through the 1.5 hour class, with minimal coughing/grimacing. I discovered that as long as I didn't try to do a right to left channe quickly my foot/toe felt all right.

I've missed 2 weeks of choreography but it seems that I've got enough of the routines burned into my muscle memory that I was able to pick up the new choreo on the second pass. Hooray! A. thought someone had sent me a copy of the choreography to review while I was off - nope. I just got it!!!

Wow, good for you bethie! Losing that much weight that quickly, I'm sure you lost some muscle. But I know you'll get back to where you were and beyond.

Don't I know it! It works really well.

(I mentioned on the exercise thread I think that I went to the gym yesterday and did 3/4 of my usual workout before hitting the wall. Felt fine afterwards though, and good today. Hoping that things will be back to normal by tomorrow.)

Bad news though... I missed the weigh and measure day for January because it was the Friday after I stubbornly worked out at the beginning of this illness and made everything go downhill. It was one I was really looking forward to. Yesterday I went ahead and weighed... back up a couple of pounds from last time. Since I'm pretty sure my weight went down significantly from last time, that's a pretty big re-gain in a couple of weeks or so.

I am still... denser, for lack of a better word, though. My usual jeans are still loose, that kind of thing.

Ah well. Just have to keep it up.

Soz, the word dense just doesn't seem apropos when applied to you - you're anything but dense!

How about compressed? compact? concentrated?

JPB, I'm glad that you're getting what you need. It's got to be tough to keep up your regimen away from home.
