Thomas, yikes, illness is not a fun way to lose weight. You OK?

I'm fine again, thanks! Smile

That's very sweet of you to say, but they're actually more like life buoys ... the size of a truck tire. The upside is it's impossible for me to drown.

As long as you remember to float on your BACK!

I agree that's a tough one, but I'm confident my superior intellect will serve me well in remembering.

Yay! for soz's biceps and for Thomas' improved health. (And for dlowan's lovely sense of humor.)

My expected gain happened. But it was only a 0.6 gain, erasing last week's 0.6 loss. Not so bad. (Current weight 173.8, total loss 115.6.) The new week begins!

How is everyone else doing?

I made it to the gym today. I super didn't want to and had to really convince myself. (There were a bunch of other things I wanted to do before I picked up sozlet from school.) So I'm happy I made myself do it, because of course once I was there I was happy about it, and I really want to cement this new routine.

Clive and I joined a new gym. The one we were going to closed and was
going to reopen in a new location, but it was never heard from again. So
we saw newspaper circular for a great rate a new nearby gym nad signed
up.

Last night was our first workout. The equipment is new, clean and
plentiful. Clive is especially happy. The walk/jogs were getting old.

I've had some pounds rebound, so I need to get serious again.

Hey Beth, toss the fat jacket! I've been dying to say that ever since you
nagged me until I tossed the fat pants.

The fat jacket is gone!

One of my colleagues snagged it - she took off with it so fast I didn't even get to see how well it fits her. I'm going to try on a couple of other jackets this week and cross my fingers for the same result - too big for me - just right for S!

Yeah!

Today I'm wearing a tooled leather belt that I bought from a street
vendor in SF back in 1977. It fits again.

George, that's very cool - I'm sure the belt is too.

That's great, mushy!

I kept up my MWF schedule all last week. Really didn't want to on Friday, but made myself go. I have so much I want to try to get accomplished every school day, and the time flies -- some days it seems so appealing to have my workout timeslot available for other things.

But I went.

Congratulations for your discipline! What was MWF again?

Mpc--

I'm not crazy about reducing people to initials, but "mushy" doesn't seem an adequate nickname for a woman who will be dancing again.

What sort of dance?

Soz--

I had an illuminating thought this morning when I was deciding whether or not to make a slight detour and check out a new walking track.

In general, I take better care of the Family Dog than I do of my own body.

I made the slight detour. The track is surfaced with gravel, but I can probably manage.

If you'd take the dog out MWF, then you can hustle your bones to the gym. You deserve your workouts.

Soz must be serious since she has her plan down to abbreviations now. Smile
Good one for going even when it was tempting not to.

Yes, I'm very excited about dancing again. The class is contemporary. I had taken quite a few years of it earlier. Tried drop ins and some time at other forms, but this one seems to be a niche of mine.
I feel so beautiful dancing.

I'm just getting back started, so will have to spend some time getting used to it for a while.
