George--

Good for you. Pity there isn't a full length mirror in the vending area.

Mushypancakes--

The Curse of Eve. Believe me, menopause has great advantages.

EhBeth--

Perfection? Eschew all possibility of perfection and you become a Power of Chaos--and you being you, all lesser mortals better duck.

Sozobe--

Is the current Day of Reckoning Monday or Tuesday?

On both Friday and Saturday nights I had a bourbon and water, but my weight this morning was 118.

I've skimped on my exercises and don't want to confront my waist measurements.

Slow but steady checking in.

Wore a denim jacket to work this morning. It's going to have to go in the Goodwill bag if no one at work snags it. It's become funnily too big. Hooray!

Hooray for bethie's too-big jacket!

It'll be months before I need a jacket for anything but over-air-conditioning, darn it.

If this morning's unofficial weigh-in is an indication (which it is of course) then I'll be up tomorrow. Rolling Eyes

Another SBS checking in...

Definitely noticed some extra bicep firmness today. So so so happy to be getting back into the gym routine. I'm going to get to a consistent 3 days/ week first, then start adding stuff.

Not anymore!

Stray Cat has a thread somewhere about waking up early, I explain there. (Short version -- kid started school, needs to wake up early. That means her mom needs to wake up early-ER.)

I remain highly irritated by how many people are congratulating us -- it wasn't that we were trying and failing for an earlier schedule before, it was just that a later schedule suited us fine 'til now -- but that's a digression (and one I could yammer on about at some length... #@!* "early to bed, early to rise...")

Why? Everybody knows Sozobe is one of Craven's artificial intelligence experiments. When she says she has a firmer biceps, you have to understand that figuratively.

What I actually wanted to say: After a long period of sloppy dieting, I gained all of my previous weight losses back. Fortunately, last week I fell so sick that I didn't feel like eating anymore. Now, after a week of near-zero diet, the 250 pound mark is coming in sight again.

Go on, people, ahem, nothing to see (rubs head), we're just having a little incident with this Rosie robot around here. We've got it under control, hehee, (faints).

I think it might be all the genuine article. (If he'd cough up what the heck the big upcoming news is, though, I'd be happy.)

Or something! People seem to feel very, very free to be judge-y on this subject. Irritated the heck out of me when it was finger-wagging, still irritates me when it's some sort of "welcome to the realm of the virtuous" thingie. Bah.

Bah.

Thomas, yikes, illness is not a fun way to lose weight. You OK?

That's very sweet of you to say, but they're actually more like life buoys ... the size of a truck tire. The upside is it's impossible for me to drown.
