I secretly think he is only jealous. He used to be in super shape, did mountain bike racing and such, and now he has no time, when he gets out of work, he is just exhausted. so he can work out max. once or twice a week, if at all. i still can't beat him up though, dem surgeons do have strong arms too! ;-)

Day off yesterday -did a small walk and today 200 mile round trip to work and back so back to the gym tomorrow-can't wait !

Session will be 20 mins weights and a go at beating my 4 mile time on the treadmill-currently standing at 33 mins 22 secs - for a 225 lber that's not so shoddy

hiama, I am still waiting for yr PM with yr email address.

Am back in the gym today - as I am feeling much better, having flushed them darn antibiotics out of my system !! But the weekend was a very physical one. Sunday was spent entirely in the garden, mowing the (Knee lenght) grass, buying 25 planters (and making 3 trips to get em home), 320 liters of compost, planting flowers, washing the pathways with jet washer etc etc..... Monday was spent putting up some shelves in my study, transporting some used stuff to the loft...

GUess burned more calories than I normally do in the gym - though my back is still aching after lifting them heavy compost sacks !!

Just so the folks know what a generous chap you are, the prize certificate from Amazon is real, I am now openly canvassing ideas on what I should spend it -

Ok did the 20 mins weights I quite like this cut down program, I can always do a longer program at the eekend, this is what I did :-

2 x 15 reps on pecs machine
2 x 15 reps bench press
2x 15 reps lats pull down
2 x 15 reps triceps pull over
2 x 10 reps biceps curl
2 x 10 reps extend arms and down

Then I went crazy and covered 4 miles in 32 mins 36 secs almost a minute quicker than the best to date and boy did i auffer-pulse started around 140 and by the end was aropund 160, at my age and weight too high.

I will crank it back toorrow, just 20 mins weights then 5000m rower but taking it easy keeping pulse at no more than 140.

Now what to buy with Gautam's amazon gift certicicate -decisions decisions ?

weight in day for Joe shows: 237.4
tah dah

1 pound down

Not really on the program yet, I made a few walks to the subway instead of taking the bus, cut back at lunch and breakfast and passed on most of the snacks, but not all, in the afternoon.
