My official weigh-in yesterday was

.............drumroll................

199.8!

The loss for the week was only 0.2 pounds, but I don't care because it's the first time in about 10 years that my weight (officially) started with a 1! Cool

I actually made it under 200 a couple of times this month on my home scale, but the weigh-in at my Weight Watchers meeting is the one that counts.

So, I'm back from India. I lost a few pounds, but it's mostly muscle I suspect. My wonderful shoulders have been deflated, grrr. Must go boxing immediately. I'm also resolved to start a new lifestyle and stay on it this time, though. Where's Clary, I need a buddy for this, and this time it's serious. I managed to get engaged and need to look fabulous within a year's time or less so that the parents in law have at least a pretty bride, if she must be a heathen (FIL is a pentacoastal pastor...eeek).

I thought I saw some fireworks high in the Eastern sky near Boston, but I thought it was the Red Sox players celebrating the start of their golf vacations.

I've been trying to drag them out of her for a couple of weeks by now, I think!

What details exist are on the "Diary of Streetsmart and whatever Indian Travelers" though.

So that's why Beth took up belly-dancing. I bet she knew all along.

Thanks, everyone. I do plan to keep doing what I'm doing (more or less) for forever (more or less).

So, there will be belly dancing at the reception? How exotic!

Shocked

I suspect belly-dancing won't quite fit the appropriate entertainment mandate.

Hey, Dag's fiancé is into conflict resolution, and she's taking up boxing to prepare for the wedding. How appropriate is that?

not only will there be no belly dancing, i am also told they're not very keen on any 'ornaments' (as in, jewelry) and make up. curious how that will go, as color coordinating my ornaments with my make up takes a good portion of my every morning. i bet they will love my piercings and tattoo. sigh. i am not marrying his parents, i suppose we'll all just have to deal somehow.

mac, congratulations! if you and beth come to india, you can belly dance at my wedding all you want. i will keep them all in check. after all, i'm a boxer. then you'll have to run of course, but that's part of the fun.

I thought you'd be married in the bride's parish?

You publish the banns. Your wedding is held in the parish church.
