A little chocolate, a little jogging...it all balances out.

The mission now becomes to stay there through the rest of the week. The Cubs game with the gang tomorrow will be fun, but a challenge not to overdo it. Our weekend is open so far, allowing for some recovery time before Monday.

JPB is gaining on me.
Or is that losing on me?
Very confusing.

(I am running soooo sloooow, even when I am pushing myself.)

Are you taking a break from running prior to Sunday, George?

The race is Saturday morning, so on Friday I'll do just a light jog.

My running has been off-and-on lately. I run with a co-worker a couple
of days a week and we only do two miles. I've had other commitments
that have co-opted my time as well. The one thing I've been faithful to
have been gym sessions with Clive.

Do Germans relish Mom's Apple Pie? Don't the Germans put more butter on their apples?

Sure. It's a fundamental instinct, much like survival and procreation. I suppose this is true everywhere in the world.

Yes, we put a little butter on the apples because unlike the English and Americans, we don't cover them with dough. It's not much butter though -- just enough to make the juice exuded by the apples caramelize without carbonizing. In terms of calories, it's comparable to the English dough on top of the apples. Perhaps even a bit lower.

248 lbs yesterday. Gotta work hard to catch up on JPB.

Thomas--

You'd be horrified if you knew how many American heart patients figure that the nutrition of apples cancels out the shortening in the crust.

200 even today!

I was hoping to get under 200 at today's weigh-in, but that nice round number is good too. That puts me down 89.4 pounds since I started Weight Watchers in May '05. Forty pounds or so to go.

Wow!

At my latest doc appt I went unambiguously under the 10-pound-loss mark, which is nice... really hope to start exercising again sometime soon though. I'm about ready, I think.

more clothes are on their way to Goodwill this weekend

I'm graduating to Beginner 2 Belly Dance after tomorrow night's class! I was worried I'd be left behind with her, you know, the one who STILL can't do her shoulder isolations and never smiles in class.

Beginner 2. I feel like I'm going into big kid school Very Happy

I think I'm going to celebrate with a new tattoo.

A big salad and an apple (and a Halloween chocolate that let me believe I was having a caramel apple) were part of a very good lunch. Fruit and water after a lovely roast chicken dinner (good cookin' Setanta).

~~~~~~~~~~
I put on my skirt, blouse, jacket, shoes, raincoat, rainhat and picked up my knapsack and umbrella and headed off to work this morning.
Arrived at work a bit damp, took off the raincoat and went Shocked
I hadn't even realized that I'd been able to easily (with room to spare) do up the jacket. I sure hadn't been able to do that when I really got serious about this weight loss/fitness work in late December - and not reeeeeally when jacket season ended in April.
Kaboom!
One level to go before I can be in next April's dance recital.
I haven't mastered keeping my coin scarves on through an entire routine - so I'm not errrrrr a vision yet - I'd say I'm still more of a sight.
When I accidentally took the Intermediate 2 class the woman in the middle here ... click ... was beside me - I wanna be her in the recital next year! Lookit her scarf go in this one!
