So I got rid of bad food then replaced it with more rubbish.

Im lactose intolrent and I need to tell myself its not gona cause less symptoms if I just eat smaller amounts of chocolate, but more frequently.

I seem to have done myself a mischief, my tummy hurts and my botty hurts.

Plain food for me.

Ok - I did it.

This week I'm going to go to bellydance class twice.

1.5 hours of agony and exhileration x 2.

Gonna try to do this through the balance of August and then see what's what.

My calves and the backs of my thighs are burning.

I think it's a good burn.

Confused

We'll know for sure tomorrow.

Still going to the gym 3 days a week with Clive. He's trying to gain
weight and I'm trying to lose it. Well, that's not completely true. We're
both trying to gain muscle. I'm hoping for fat loss as a by-product,
whereas Clive has precious little fat -- or much else -- to lose.

I believe I'm seeing some muscle gain on the lad. He certainly has
gained strength. As for me, my weight is now hovering around 170 lbs.
Not bad, but there's still all that loose flesh around my middle. Yuck.

We alternate chest-and-shoulders days with arms-and-legs days.

*Chest-and-shoulders*
Bench press
Seated row
Seated dumbell press
Pull up
Dip
Upright row

*Arms-and-legs*
Leg press
Toe raise
Seated leg curl
Leg extension
"Preacher bench" curls
Cable triceps extensions

We finish off each session with an ab routine.

Nice routine, George. Also, it's a great way for you and Clive to spend time together.

George weighs less than I do. hmmmm, that might just be the motivator I've been looking for.

172.5

Dinner: out - I plan looking for an entre salad on the menu

Thanks, George, I needed that!

Glad to help, J_B!

I was going to take inspiration from your menu,
but I don't have that kind of willpower.

Good job, George and J_B!

My progress has been slow as of late. I'd love to knock down that next milestone, but nope, not this week. And probably not next week either. But one of these days...it's going to happen. And then, I've promised myself that I'll post my actual weight here.

You guys are an inspiration to me.

My incision seems mostly healed and I'm trying to get back in my exercise routine. Unfortunately, I nibble when I'm stressed and August was a month of stress.

This morning, not only did I weigh--and remember that my bathroom scales weigh between 3 and 5 pounds light--but I ran tape measure around all flabby areas.

Once again, trudging towards perfection.

Week Two of the doubled-up belly-dance classes this week.

Last week's burn turned out to be a good burn - on the downside, I was so tired when I left the studio that I left a bag with my cellphone and fair tickets there grrrrrrrrrrrr Just picked 'em up.

Target? Size medium. For now.

Target size Medium, I'd be thrilled. I've fit in one once in a while, figure they screwed up at the factory.

ehBeth, I thought of you when I was reading about Shakira on some site, probably Slate or the Chronicle, this a.m.

I'm wobbling back and forth between M and L in clothes right now - which is already a step forward (backward/down?)

I'd like everything to be M - or a mislabeled S. Cool

Wow, M is great! I hope to get there some day. For now, I'm thrilled at the occasional XL instead of 1X...

The whole sizing thing is wacked. Everything's cut so close to the body these days. I have stuff from 10 years ago that fits great in sizes I couldn't hope to fit into now.

Went to the doc today and I'm about 10 pounds down from freak-out weight, which is nice because I haven't exercised in three weeks and was worried it'd be way up. I've been pretty sick for that stretch (cold --> bronchitis --> temporary asthma [the last being today's diagnosis]) and haven't been active at all -- well, except for coughing. Lots of that. Cough your way to a sixpack! Yeah. :-?

Soz--

An official ten pound loss is cause for celebration.

I wonder whether being unwell stimulated nibbling like being short of sleep when your body gets its signals kerfoodled about what would bring ease and peace?

The more expensive the clothing, the smaller the size you need.

I gave away all my size L stuff a few years ago. I refuse to buy more. Now I wobble between Ms fitting loosly, comfortably, or ohmygod!
