I've said it before, the fastest way to lose weight is to go take a big dump.

A friend of mine weighed in at our meeting last week. She was bummed because she'd gained half a pound. I told her to go back and weigh again without her sweater. It weighed 2 lbs! So instead of a half pound gain, she'd lost 1.5.

Years ago I was at a Weight Watchers Weigh-In (Yes. I have tried them all) and a woman took off her EARRINGS before she got on the scale.

er...

This AM. 201.5 Very Happy

I'm at 174.5 today, down 3.5 for April, looking for a few more before next Wednesday. CardioJam workouts are working for abs and cardio. I did overall weight training at the club yesterday. Back to the CardioJam today.

Haven't checked in for a while.
Good news: I'm at 173 this morning.
That is right on schedule.
Ten more days and two more pounds to go.

Nigel gets back from Virginia this weekend,
so we'll be celebrating a belated Easter with him.
Could be a setback.

No loss last week and I'll be lucky if I haven't gained this week.

Life here is full of trauma and drama and I am a weak and wilful woman.

Thanks for the reminder, J-B...

We take off for Anna Maria Island in the morning.
(I intend to run the length of the damned thing everyday.)
(and eat with one arm tied behind my back.)

Wow, where's Anna Maria Island? Sounds exotic. Have fun Joe! All that running means that you can eat & drink whatever you want, right? Very Happy

(Never mind, I googled it - it's in Florida and looks very pretty!)

J_B needs to refocus. There's too damn much Easter candy in this house (well, not so much anymore Embarrassed ). I don't even like candy, so could someone please tell me why I went at it like it was the best thing on earth last night?

I woke up this morning with a sugar hangover. Serves me right.

FOCUS!!!!!!

WTG, George, it looks like you will reach your goal before I reach it. Those pants are gonna be history!

speaking of 'those pants are gonna be history', I'm wearing a favourite pair of cropped jeans with a turquoise dangly beaded fringe - too big, and I can't decide what to do. Weight re-gain is not an option, but I hate to give these babies up.

The Lovely Bride checked out the new "Whole Foods Market"
(aka "Whole Paycheck Market") in Woburn t'other day.
Didn't buy much -- pricey, pricey, pricey -- but she did get me
a "Cuban Pork Burrito". I had it for lunch at 11. Mahvelous!

Then I went running at noon.

That was probably the wrong order of operations.

<urp>
Sorry.

I finally got myself back in the gym after a nice lazy break nursing my leg.
Hehe; ya gotta love injuries as an excuse to pig out!

Went through my spring wardrobe and have to pass on a lot of last years stuff.
Funny how much a body can change in one year. Not for the better, not for the worse.

Yea! We have wireless in Flourideittia!

Been doing a lot of running. Maybe six miles yesterday, it's hard to tell with the curvature of the earth, beach and sky, and a lot of eating too.

The scale at the Publix said I was up three pounds, but I had my shorts and tee shirt on and that produce clerk yelling at me so I am not sure.

Yoga today.

oh hell, i should probably stop pretending this thread exists. Having a detox day today, as my stomach has been hurting for a week now, and that ain't right.
i should get in gear before the summer comes. quite a half-ass commitment, but better than no ass.

Sad I gained 0.6 pounds as of weigh-in yesterday, putting me at 5.0 pounds down for the month so far. Ok, that's not so Sad after all. Smile

Mac--

I think at five pounds, you're the big loser for the month--unless Joe Nation is exceedingly virtuous on his vacation.

My loss is two pounds and some fractional inches, but so much of my life this month was beyond my control I feel smug that I didn't gain.

In 40 days I'll be off to the Big City for a break. I'd like to be 5-8 pounds lighter and I'd definitely like to be able to walk briskly for a full hour.

Will anyone join me?
