Just back from a walk around the neighbourhood with Setanta and the dogs.

Witnessed the most amazing thing.

Setanta sprinting with Cleo for about half a block.

Hosanna.

I thought of you yesterday, mac11, when I made another giant batch of high-fibre, low-fat muffins in my silicone pans.

Threw in some craisins, a handful of choco chips, and a 1/3 cup of flaked coconut <betweent 30 muffins>. Lots of texture, and flavour, in those muffins.

Im curious..

can someone really bounce around in a 3 lb range over 2 weeks?

According to may scale I have gained and lost on average 3 lbs in 2 weeks.

Im not sure I believe this and wonder if I need to get a new scale?

Are you naked when you weigh yourself? Shoeless at least?

I've definitely seen that kind of fluctuation over a two week period, shewolf.

A big glass of water weighs a pound. A meal could weigh 2+. So, I only weigh first thing in the morning...

I do too.

But, I also weigh as my coffee is brewing..

silly thought.. but maybe I should weigh before I potty.. Laughing

I base my "weight" on what the scale says first thing in the morning, but I also check through out the day and sometimes can notice as much as a 4lb diffrence.
Food , water and clothes make a difference.. definatly.
But.. wow.. I didnt know it was that much.

But then, I never paid THIS much attention.
Im trying to get rid of that 5lbs and it seems to be bouncing back to me just to taunt me..

then it runs away

Maybe someone else can find the weight I lost so it has a new home.. >gr<

A friend of mine weighed in at our meeting last week. She was bummed because she'd gained half a pound. I told her to go back and weigh again without her sweater. It weighed 2 lbs! So instead of a half pound gain, she'd lost 1.5.

It's easy to get a little nuts about the scale. I limit myself to once a day, and try not to weigh everyday. The only one that matters is the one on Wednesday at my lunchtime weight watchers meeting.

Okay.

Weight once a day.
Weight naked. Nuff said.
First thing in the morning.
Write down the result or post it on a log.

Put scale somewhere where you won't see it again until the next morning. It's only a marker.

(If you want a link to the log I use PM me.)

Yeah, good points, Joe.

I make mine inconvenient to get to - I have to move the trashcan, roll up a rug, and slide the scale out to the middle of the room to use it.

Ok, I'm down 1.6 pounds this week. That's 5.6 pounds down for the month.

Thank you for starting this April challenge, Noddy. It's been a good motivator for me!
