174.5, jumping jacks done, about to go for a walk. I'm shooting for 172 by Monday, 169 by the 17th and 167 by the end of August.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, dragon.

Up to 128--no "good" reason because I know I did not wolf down 3500 extra calories.

I'll blame the heat.

Labor Day and lower temperatures are miles and miles away.

171.5 this morning, thats 0.5 less than when I left on our mini-vacation last weekend and closer to that magic 6 in the middle. I hope to see that next week sometime, getting back to where I was before I left for my 8-day retreat in mid-July.

Hit my goal of the week which was/is 225.00 .

And I joined the club which is right down the street from where I work.
Monday night I get my first meeting with a trainer.

Saturday morning I left the apartment early and got off the train at 110th Street thinking I would jog through Central Park on a quiet morning rather than the busy evenings I have been experiencing. ooohh nooooo

There were 4,000 runners in the Park and all of them passed me several times, but it was so thrilling to be (momentarily) in groups of a hundred or two hundred people.

I ran about two and half miles in the park and another half or so over to Lexington and 59th. The Six train lets off at the door of the club. I took a shower and went to work. Perfect.

Good news on that MRI, dragon.

Weight this morning--126. I'd be smug. but as there was no reason for the two pound gain, there was no reason for the two pound loss--except for my creative metabolism.

J_B--

Your cry of "Six in the Middle" is starting to remind me of that horrid children's game "Pig in the Middle" when The In Group snatches a hat or a scarf or a book or some other personal item and tosses it back and forth, back and forth, always out of reach.

Eventually you'll retrieve that "Six"--I know it.

Joe--

You are obviously making fitness part of your lifestyle and daily schedule. I have great admirations for energetic good resolutions initiated and kept in heat and humidity?

Sorry I'll miss you tomorrow evening--or are you going to jog in dragging Personal Trainer on a leash behind you?

I dipped below 140 as of this morning. I guess pre-date stress, swimming, hiking and biking will do that for ya.

Bought a skipping rope on the weekend - a long one.
Ostensibly for the kids down the block.

But they're good sports - and always let me have a turn Very Happy

I wondered for a while this morning why so much of me was sore. Figgered it out - and then realized I couldn't really share it with anyone else, outside of this thread.

My neice and I were just talking about jump ropes. She was practicing with my robe tie. I told her we should get a set and jump together.

We used to jump rope before doing anything else in gymnastics. Jump rope, stretch, gymnastics, strength, stretch.

I'd forgotten all about skipping rope and its benefits.
Guess I need to go to boxing classes or something.

Skipped a bit after tonight's dog walk.

Hope I can walk tomorrow.

Way to go, littlek and beth.

ahem, is there a specific plan causing the pre-date jitters, lk? I checked your "online" thread but didn't see anything.

a date? a date?!?! who? what? where? how? TELL!!!

i jump rope regularly. picked it up at boxing. the brute of a trainer made us jump 6 rounds, 3 minutes each. that's a lot of jumping. brought the rope home with me.

biked 85 km (53 miles) yesterday. Knee sore, but that's all. i can feel two muscles in my bum and quads - mildly. not even sore, just sorta tight.
