have fun JB! we will look forward to your return and continuing loss!

I am still hanging in at 168. it was raining so hard and thundering so badly this morning, running was not an option. eating better though is at least going well. i guess my goal is to break 165 by next thursday's check in. have to set the little goals on the way to the big one!

J_B--

At least on the road, no one will expect you to cook. Dieting is easier when someone else cooks.

dragon--

If I remember correctly, you have to burn approximately 220 calories to lose an ounce of fat.

I had a mammogram this morning--the smaller the boobs, the more discomfort for the compression--but a mammogram (unlike chemo and radiation) is over an done with in minutes.

Sun and showers, sun and showers. My current mulching target is under low growing bushes and I don't need moisture dripping down on my aching back.

The local Party Store had a sale on ballons and I'm taking inspiration from a $1.99 mylar gold star. I've tied it to the refrigerator door.

ack!!! i am 170 today!!! dang it. maybe its because i haven't run since sunday. i have just been so tired recently, not really sure why (and i am not pregnant-that's just what everyone always says to me to when i say i am tired all the time). bernard, now my avatar (i figured out how to shrink the photo) hasn't pressed me to run recently so i need to start getting myself out of bed and doing it. ugh. no motivation!

I did it, I did it, I did it!
Six in the middle.
I weighed in at 169 this morning.

Now on to LA and the SOB reunion.
I fear Mr. Scale will say nasty things to me on my return,
but for now:

PAR-TAY!!!

This morning was a Cloud of Dust morning with much too much to accomplish in such a little time.

I simplified my schedule by 'forgetting" my weigh-in. I doubt that even with the extra day that the scales will show miracles tomorrow, but they might.

You know, I think we can all do a little something in this battle against weight loss. Not only for ourselves, but for others.

Next time you're walking down the street, or sitting at a restaurant, and you see a fatty, you can say something like "excuse me, you dropped your diet" while pointing to the ground...or a simple point and "haha! you're fat!"

It's not all about you, people. Everyone needs encouragment here and there.

does that mean my comment on the thread about things not to say during intimacy would apply?

i didn't realize you were that fat until you got undressed? sweet and all this time i thought i would hurt someone's feelings saying that.

haha, i am in no shape to call anyone fat (except myself of course). however according to the BMI i am not fat, and i think that amazes me. too bad i had my blood pressure checked yesterday. it was not good. celery extract not helping just yet (but it has only been a week). it was still astronomical, i am really starting to get worried. i must be more active in losing weight now, it is a life necessity.

Right now all my good intentions are rather flabby and I'm trying to be firm and dedicated.

Would that Speed was not both dangerous and illegal.

Back from the Left Coast.
It's gonna take a while to recover.
The only exercise I got was a breakneck run through Dallas-Fort Worth
Airport from gate C-24 to gate A-14, toting a carry-on. Missed the dang
connection anyhow.

george-dfw can be a bear. we fly there all the time to see inlaws on way to austin. it stinks. at least it got your heart rate going...

i am still not back on track. can't seem to get out of bed in the am. i am going to the driving range tonight, but that just isn't the same as running 2 miles. alas. and the BP check aint going so good...sad...

Make friends with a two-year old.

Not guaranteed weight-loss, but guaranteed firming up!

I've had a bit of weight-loss recently, as a result of drinking a lot of warm water at tea parties with my new best friend every night - but the much faster walking while holding her hand and managing two dogs's leashes has definitely firmed up a couple of zones. And my biceps are frightening!

maybe if i chase littlek, i can lose some weight. Smile

i ended up calling my doctor today, broke down on the bp. he said i was in stroke range and should come in and have blood drawn and get sample bp pills. so much for my low life insurance rate...

however i did get up and run this morning. dang it was hot, 77 with 87% humidity and 77% dewpoint. (i checked the weather channel when i got home) i was sweating like a maniac. maybe i lost a pound or two. i am back to 6 in the middle though, i thought for a while i was gonna have to hurt someone there...

Soggy, eeyep, it seems that it's soggy all over.

Dragon, careful with pushing yourself in excersize until you get your BP in control......
