dragon--

You're below 170. This is progress.

George--

Why do I suspect you are a Man of Many Holidays?

Constitutional Girl--

Walking is probably the best and easiest weight reduction aid.

By the by, if your doctor is saying "Walk 15 minutes a day" he's really worried about the effect your weight may have on your health. He can worry--but you have to act.

I did my first leg workout in years. I'm an idiot. Anyway, I can barely walk right now, and made it through weekend # 1 without drinking. Well 2 shots over the course of 3 days isn't "drinking."

ACKKKKK!

180.5 this morning. My first venture into the 180s in three years. My social life is killing me. Oh well, the alternative is having no social life, so I'll just have to be extra diligent in between the events. 4th of July coming up this weekend so I'll try to get below 175 before then.

I swam laps for 30 mins this morning and then went for a 3.5 mile walk with my neighbor in the 90deg heat. That should take care of any water weight I was holding from the weekend. I'm drinking cranberry juice throughout the day today which will also help with the detox.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, George!

Phoenix, 27 lbs is fabulous.

Slappy, your legs will recover in no time.

Dragon, you're doing well. Keep on truckin'.

CG - walking will pay off quickly if you do it regularly.

The coward (me) hasn't been posting here because of disgust at the way I've been eating. Had a sugar binge that lasted a week, leaving me feeling terrible. You'd think I'd learn. Back on course now, trying not to think about lost time and gained pounds. Ack!

Slappy, I bought a silly belly dancing workout video a couple years ago. When I started it up I found that there was no belly dancing involved(I was ripped off!). Mostly, they hopped from one foot to the other and back. I thought it was totally dumb, but finished it. I couldn't walk right for a week. It was a wicked calf work out.

Littlek, did you purchase this video in pursuit of a new career?

Steps are not my friend right now. Tomorrow shouldn't be bad though.

Slappy - no, it was cheap and I thought it would be funny. It was funny alright. My housemates laughed at me for weeks. Just ask Dag,

Well anyway, you should have just asked. I would have let you borrow some of my belly dancing instructional videos.

The Lovely Bride sent me a Belly-Gram (at work, no less!)
for my 40th birthday. I had to get up there with the dancer
and learn to do a belly-roll.

It did not become part of my regular workout.

176.5 today. Better. Not good, but better.

I've already done laps at the pool and I'm headed out for a walk. I'm shooting for 174 by Thursday.
