Well, I have walked the last couple of days - though not far enough yesterday, and not fast enough today, as I went for a walk after lunch, and my lunch companion came also - a slooooooooooow walker! it seems rude to forge way ahead, so I wenr ahead a bit, then walked back.

Tomorrow the world!

C'mom Gautam!!!!

I meant to go for a run after work last night but at 6pm I was called into a meeting, which lasted until 7:20, so I had to rush home to get there in time to meet S...and didn't have time.

I have brought my running kit to work today, so at least I'm prepared to do that when I have a moment. Lunchtime would be great, as it's a beautifully sunny day!

Also - I was v. naughty this morning and had an egg and bacon roll for breakfast. The fact that I drank a SKINNY latte with that is almost irrelevant, given the fat in that roll. Must make up for that later.

Thanks, Gautham. I'll dedicate the next vanished pound to you (although I will "give" it to a personified part of my past that I'm better off without).

good for you Noddy!

I still haven't become unsore enough to excerize the bottom half, maybe I'll do the upper half tonight.

oh... HIAMA, Biofreeze is a deep freezy heat rub based on the holy plant. It's greasless and stainless (even though it comes out greenish blue) and it says it has a vanishing scent - it does vanish, but not for some time. You can order it (it's expensive - was a gift) at www.biofreeze.com

Thanks for the kind words. Perhaps if you do only a few provocative exercises with your nether region that would help to loosen them up?

And if not, you're still ahead a few provocative exercises.....

Go! Go Go Girl.

my nether regions are fine, thankyouverymuch. it's my calves and the fronts of my thighs that are sore. So, sit-ups, arm excersizes, maybe some weight-lifting. At the very least, I should do some yoga to loosen up my legs.

As a nanny you know better than to neglect a fractious party just because the fractious party is Not Nice to Know. Move your legs just a bit and explain that swim suit season is coming.

Noddy - damn, you're tough. And you have that pop-gun. I did a little leg stretching while the tiny tot was asleep. But, since it's about 60 degrees in this house (and there's a draught), I figured I wouldn't push too hard, lest something should snap.

Noddy,

Well done, my target is to lose 50 pounds, after week one I have lost 2 pounds and feel great, having done 5 gym sessions now.

Today did 20 minutes of weights, then 5000m on the rower in best time by a minute.

Tomorrow is designated as a run day- 5 miles, however the forecast is bad so I am going to do it on the treaadmill-imagine that 5 miles on the treadmill and you'll know I have lost my senses.

Gautam, this is your leader get back on track or else I'll set the wabbit on ya

KP- keep the running going man, you know it makes sense

Little k-thanks for explaining and for the link

Debs-my tall australian beauty-keep up the walking-its great for the libido-whatever that is

I practice all my little pep talks on myself--and sometimes I can ignore them. Sixty degrees? Yes, something might snap. Spring will come soon...or so I've heard.

I've come home, raised the heat to 68 here. I can walk normally now, but still have a hard time going down stairs (I can NOT believe this....). I'll do a little warm up aerobic thing and then some yoga later tonight after I've digested my dinner.

I excersized to the pilates tape tonight after a brief warm-up on the excersize bike. About 1.5 hours all-in-all.

i did the belly dancing thing and the yoga workout. i think i will feel my calves tomorrow, too, although the yoga helped. 30 + 45 mins. the stoopid snow is getting boring, i want to go out and jog! to the B-side lounge, and back, my regular route. arrrrgh. must repeat to myself: i like the four seasons kind of a weather, i like.... nah, doesn't work today. hhhhHHHOT TUB would. will tak a bath instead.

I quickly slipped out of my office before anybody could catch me, went home, had a cup of tea (yeah TEA !!!) and went straight to the gym.

30 mins on the bike (yipeee)
20 mins on the elliptical trainer (Yipeee)

and some weights - I dont use free weights right now though.

My trainer has suggested that I should look for some excercises at home itself for times when I am unable to come to the gym for any reason. So I have just now placed an order for an excercise bike for my home.

I find a diet high in Ephedrine an effective weight loss tool. Lots of walking, resisting the temptation of eating greasy foods whever passing a bain marie, and doing a lot of meditation.
