Syn~
I dunno. 50 thou would make me AWFULLY happy.
Me too. How much IS additional sex worth, anyway? Well, it does burn calories and it can be good cardio, and think of the oxytocin.
Oh, wait. I read that wrong.
Good thing I'm not a pharmacist.
I'll send you an interesting link re oxytocin. It's off-topic.
I went to the gym last night and forgot about attempting to look good and got my head down on the bike(for wind resistance, hoho)and rode with all my might.
hmmm. interesting, interesting... i'm glad economists are putting their little brains to useful research for a change.
George--
You're headed in the right direction.
Dragon--
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. George has a good point about substituting action for gorging. Remember, hospital corridors are good places to walk--and there are miles of corridors.
Dag--
I'm glad to hear that you have an occasional frail moment.
Material Girl--
Great! I read an article last week that summed up research on motivating women to do their exercises. The most successful gals were the women who ignored all the trendy motivation and just did it.
Starting weight: 131.
Weight last week: 127
Weight last night: 128
Weight this morning: 130.
This is not good for my morale--but my low morale and I are climbing on the exercycle.
Thanks, George. I cycled for 41 minutes which means I won't lie awake at night brooding on the injustice of the universe.
Week 2 checkin
173.5
That would be a 3.5 lb gain from last week and 2.5 up from the start. I have lots of excuses, but that's all they are. The bottom line is that my bottom is spending too much time in a chair where I'm chained to my computer slogging away for a new client. 14 hour work days are making me cranky, sluggish and super-stressed, and my eating habits have gone into the toilet.
More sex, eh? Not this week!!!!
Good job to those who are hanging in. I'll be back on track as soon as I put this puppy to bed on Friday. Er, I mean on Monday after the 25 incoming guests return home.
Geez Dag, I could use some of you umph!
Head down and cycle like mad, MG and Noddy.
Best wishes to your G'Ma, Dragon.
George, meet me back here on Monday - we'll get each other back on track (you literally, me figuratively)
Have a great weekend all! (Is it Friday yet?)
Obviously the A2K Blitz Group is working under unfriendly stars this week. Once a body's metabolism slows down, recovering from holidays can be very complicated.
J_B--
Hold your dominion.
The Daughter graduates tomorrow, so I may lose some ground.
She also got "the ring" from her guy, so this weekend will be pretty celebratory.
But I'll be good.
Sorta...
George--
Whether you are a glutton or a Prince of Moderation, Monday morning will arrive as scheduled.
...and I hope there'll be less of me to greet it...
Not a heap of time to post...
Weigh in Thursday : 142 lbs
Going no where fast
The past week:
10 km on Stairmaster
4 km on Rowing machine
25km on the Bike + 8 km bike ride to Children's
8km run
8 km hilly walks in the city
Today
Another 8km bike ride to Children's hospital
I so don't want to do weights
being mas o menos good, boxing helps, bbq doesn't, but there has to be some balance in the world...
I'm raising my glass to George's Daughter!!!
(I'm trying the 2 glasses of wine instead of dinner diet)
