Miss D-

I would try a little baking soda, I heard that baking soda is good or clearing drains.

Btw, is the eclectic diet part of some new regime?

Ran 8 km this morn...my first solo run!
The last 1.5 km was particularly difficult and then I had to walk .5 km home.
I luxuriated in the jacuzzi for a half hour. Ten minute soak, dip in frigid cold pool, another soak, frigid cold etc.
I am now completely knackered!
But it is Wednesday and I am obligated to carry on with 'Curry Night'; ah well, kneading the naan dough will give me a bit of an arm workout Wink
Tomorrow is Weigh in Thursday and I am not looking forward to it...
I am very impressed with all of you have managed to shed a few pounds!

To unblock a bath, fats won't be the problem (unless you empty your fryer down there) so you should probably employ a rubber plunger-type unblocking tool, instead of a chemical cleaner.
You can always unscrew the trap underneath, if you know how to do that, and clean it out from there. Some ladies (I know one) would not care to do that, and will not remove spiders from the bath either.

I gained a pound yesterday. How did that happen? I must be eating in my sleep. I know, the electronic scales must need a new battery. Smile

Sonte, 8km is good. I envy you the jacuzzi. We now have a disgusting bath with standing water, not worth spending words over, really.

Mr. Bb,
am afraid baking soda won't cut this. draino didn't.
And I sure hope herring is not a part of any new regime i have to deal with. there would be a coup d'etat very soon. The rest of my ecclectic diet is permissible.

Miss D-

With a name like Dagmaraka, one would thing that you would relish Norwegian Herring?

Btw, what is the "Zelezna studnicka?"

Hmmm, did you try manually clearing the drain?

Questions...

McT - we did all that. we are manually skilled ladies in this household. plunger, removed the thingamajig, fished around for fun stuff, removed even the switch to see if it isn't unhooked - nada. draino worked eventually, but it still drains awfully slow. more draino adventure tomorrow. weeee!

Mr. B -
it literally means Iron Well. It's a little hill by Bratislava where people go hiking / running / cross country skiing / drinking and smoking pot... not that i would know anything about the last two.
i love herring. but not everyday. and i like choice. when it's the only thing in the fridge, i allow myself to feel pity for me.

Miss D-

Thank you. My off to bed. Have a huge workout tomorrow...helping a friend move dozens of book boxes down four flights of stairs into a basement storage. I might be as sore tomorrow night as you were tonight. No worries, just looking at it as a whole body workout. Should be fun. Will let y'all know how that particular regime works.

NO - just an abbreviation of "Ta Ta For Now" - English expression for goodbye.

I've been so busy - no time for a2k Sad but keeping weight steady - hope all those dominions are being held firmly.

ugh, things have gone from bad to worse here. the stress of the test on saturday was just letting up when my grandmother suffered a minor stroke. that is why i had no comments yesterday, was caught up dealing with that and still trying to study. as a result i think i ate the entire bag of potato chips at my desk (the large one) and had taco bell last night.

on a better note, my grandmother is doing well, no permanent paralysis but we won't know the extent of the damage for a few weeks as it takes some time to show up on the cat scan. she doesn't seem to have any problems thus far only that during the ministroke she couldnt form words, she could write them, just not speak them. that all passed when the clot did. However, since she is in atrial fibrulation (sp?) more clots could be forth coming unless we keep her cumadin levels high. i am much more settled today about it since there are no apparent long term effects. however, the stress levels today are quite high and my body isn't liking it. my main focus is to keep praying for my grandmother and keep studying since she swears there is nothing i can do for her.

It's not just good exercise. Engaging in it more frequently is better than a $49,999 raise.

progress continues. had only fish for lunch, no accompaniments (you know what i mean) and a small piece of home made pizza for dinner. quite a bit of booze though. in fact we went through a bottle of Demanovka, which is a powerful herb firewater.

boxing today, dunno how as i can still barely move as a result of tuesday boxing.

dragon49~

Prayers and best wishes to you and your grandmother.
I'm sure your concern is in fact doing a lot for her.

Going for a run helps me deal with stress. Like you, I often react by
eating. Try to avoid the crud food, but don't beat up on yourself if you
cheat.

Hang in there!
