Wow, who knew George Strait was a fan.

I didn't know til the other day.

Rather than ride the stationary bike I mowed out front. The sycamore leaves are now crunched into little pieces. Lawn fanatics would tell me it's not adequate, but I no longer give a crap what they think. By tomorrow the big leaves will be all over it again, looking as if I never mowed.

And was too keyed up to come inside, so rode the bike anyway.

Park walk: ominous. To start out there was a V of vapor trails directly overhead. The point of convergence behind a bilious cloud, all bloated and menacing. The wildlife was particularly ravenous besides overly spoiled. Ducks and goose followed us around the lake, making a mad dash when thought they could catch up to us. The squirrels rioted, coming from every direction and begging for seconds and thirds. What does this portend? Hell, I'm an observer, not a predictor.

The white goose quit showing a week ago. It's like losing a pet when that happens.

All this record heat is in the process of giving way to a front with lots of rain in it. Likely the storm action will loosen most of the remaning leaves on the sycamore tree. Sometimes I regret planting that tree. At least it doesn't produce the balls of seeds.

I will never get it. A person like Rahm Emanuel gets repeatedly picked for high posts despite all that he is and I never see a word of criticism.

Politics is very strange - what one person gets away with, just a hint will destroy another person! I believe self conscious is a great part.

Boris Johnson bring a case in point, until very recently he seemed to live charmed life.

The ritish public have been very forgiving of sleaze and incompetence that would sink most politicians.

Do they call him Teflon Johnson? He has a nickname, doesn't he? I can't remember what it is.
