President Trump had suggested to delay the 2020 Presidential election due to concerns regarding voting by mail in response to the pandemic.

However, The President has no ability to delay the election, and members of Congress (Republicans and Democrats) have all shut down the idea.
Senator McConnell said no US presidential election had ever been delayed before.

"Never in the history of this country, through wars, depressions and the Civil War, have we ever not had a federally scheduled election on time. We will find a way to do that again this November third," he told local Kentucky station WNKY.

You object mightily if anyone else even scrapes against a space you deem off topic, yet, do so yourself on a regular basis.

Nobody gives a rat's a$$!

So stop your dilly-dallying and get out your sketchbook and draw a character or two.

@Sturgis,
Exactly. I’m no stranger to procrastination myself, but I’ve just got the illustration for my 2nd novel. Now all that's needed is some formatting and it’s off to Amazon.

I thought I’d have it done by June. No, but it will be on the market before the end of the month.

I mean I have literally just got the illustration a few minutes ago. I really like it, he’s an exceptional artist.

@izzythepush,
Excellent!

As to procrastinating, in high school economics, I waited the better part of a month, then with the paper due on Monday, I cobbled together a paper on Saturday afternoon.

My topic: Music of the Great Depression.

I passed the course...somehow.

For Confirmation Class (Methodist church, age 13), I wrote the essay the morning it was due.

Yeah, procrastination is okay... up to a point. After that, it is willful ignorance and/or laziness.

...will Goldman blow a gasket when he sees I'm not on topic?

What are you railing on about?
Perhaps he thought you might be blowing a horn... You know, a bugle or trumpet. Or blowing smoke.

It would seem that it is your mind sloshed in dirty gutter water.

The Bible says to obey the laws of the land. Certain facilities in NY, at least where I live, are enforcing the "no mask no service" policy. You can get fined and escorted off the premises of you aren't wearing a mask or some other kind of face covering, unless you have some medical reason for not keeping your face covered when you enter these facilities. The notices I see for "no mask no service" are backed by Governor Cuomo and the New York State Dept. Of Health.

Since Governor Cuomo wants people to keeping their faces covered when they are out in public, I'm keeping mine covered.

I don't understand why a lot of people are walking around in public without masks or some other kind of face coverings where I live. I think that's foolish but that's their business.

As Rebel said the laws regarding wearing masks and other kind of face coverings varies from State to state.

How do state governments know if it's safe to walk around without masks or any other kind of face coverings in public in certain areas? How do they make such determinations?

@JGoldman10,
Whatever happened to your belief that your God would protect you always under any circumstances? You yammered a number of times about that and how you could skip through town with nary a cars or worry even though it was a dangerous area.

Are you trying to tell us now that God won't protect you always, no matter what?

But didn't you say you were SAVED?

And what happens if you disobey the bible and wear a mask of mixed materials?

@Sturgis,
The Bible says Christians still need to obey the laws of the land. Walking around without a mask or some other kind of face covering in public is not using wisdom.

I'm obeying Governor Cuomo by keeping my face covered in public. If other people don't want to keep their faces covered when they are out in the streets that's their business. I think that's foolish.

I keep my face covered when I'm dealing with people who deliver stuff to my house.
