@JGoldman10,
I think as far as the artwork goes it’s good enough.

I would criticise the message, what are you saying?

It’s September, Covid 19 is hardly new, now if you’d posted it in February it would have been a different matter.

@Frank Apisa,
It's a caricature. I cartoonified myself.

@izzythepush,
I was making belated social commentary with my piece. 2020 marks the beginning of a new year and decade and then the ugliness of Covid-19 shows up - a scourge that has put a huge damper on things. I was in a slump earlier this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic and crisis. I had a lot to deal with, especially with my mother away in rehab and what not. I created this piece when I had the time. I never had any works showcased on Deviantart before and people were somewhat prodding me to showcase my works on Newgrounds. I had some art I posted on Newgrounds but I took it down. I was hesitant to show any art or writing works on either site because I was concerned about people stealing them. I didn't know what my first work I was going to submit to Deviantart should be at first. The situation in the world regarding Covid-19 inspired me to create my piece and prompted me to post it on Deviantart. I thought it was relevant.

@JGoldman10,
It was relevant back in February.

@izzythepush,
I was making belated social commentary with my piece. Do you know what the word "belated" means? I should have posted this art piece online sooner but couldn't. I created it and posted it over the summer. Better late than never. It's still 2020.

My art piece is still culturally-relevant. The Covid-19 pandemic and crisis is still an issue.

I had difficulty functioning with certain restrictions imposed on everyone earlier this year because of the pandemic and crisis. I had challenges functioning at home given the circumstance with my mother being away in rehab. I gave into depression because of the situation in the world regarding Covid-19. It's difficult for me to function during the summertime in my home where I live; my house is like an oven in the summer.

A lot of responsibilities have been imposed upon me because my mother is away in rehab. We still need to contact an ombudsman to help us deal with our personal financial situations and get it sorted out and to help us take care of our business regarding Social Security. It's been somewhat of a challenge reaching my mother by phone at the rehab center she's in. The center is still closed to the public, so I can't see her in person. I couldn't always get her on the phone, especially when I needed her help. She's had problems with the office phone they give her to use and with the cell phone her friend bought for her to use. I still have other things I need to deal with in my personal life.

And you are criticizing me because I posted a Covid-19-themed art piece I created online later than I should have?

I wasn't aware there was some kind of deadline for this.

@JGoldman10,
I do, it means it’s late and no longer appropriate.

I am trying to be helpful here. Compare my response with the one above.

@izzythepush,
Bugger off. Better late than never.
The world is still fixated on Covid-19.

The point I was making about Covid-19 in my piece is the the Covid-19 pandemic and crisis is/was a rocky way to start off a new year and decade. The world wasn't expecting it. It caught most people off guard. It put a huge damper on things.

@JGoldman10,
This is your biggest problem, when people try to help you lash out.

Look at cartoonists, they’re topical, they write about what happened yesterday.

@izzythepush,
You are being a snob because I didn't create and showcase my piece sooner than you would have liked.

I'm still adjusting to things without my mother being around. I'm still working on being organized and getting myself together. Fortunately I have friends and family who are helping me.

You've accused me of procrastinating. I've had issues with depression and with lack of drive and focus.

@JGoldman10,
I am giving you good advice. If you want people to buy your cartoons you need to be up to date.

@izzythepush,
Yeah okay. What I created and posted wasn't a commission piece. I did it for fun.

@JGoldman10,
I was going to comment on your art piece, but because of your reaction to izzy's comment, I will just abstain.

I will post one of DC's PSA ads to promote social distancing. It is drawn by Tony Daniel.

And all I said was that it was a bit dated. I didn’t say anything nasty about your artwork.

@Rebelofnj,
If you're not going to critique my work then why did you bother posting about it? That's spam.

I wasn't going to ask you to critique my work.

@JGoldman10,
Clearly you do or you wouldn’t have acted like that. How about something on the wildfires on the west coast or the revelations that Trump deliberately downplayed Covid 19?
