Here you have American liberals chiming in with the newly emboldened Old Europeans. They have no new ideas, no new policies, only the desire to obstruct the current administration at any cost. They willingly subordinate the best interests of the country to their overwhelming hatred of the current president and their irrational belief they are destined to govern unimpeded ... despite their election losses ... despite the will of the majority ... all the while insisting they are good, patriotic Americans.

Put the two together and you have the unholy alliance that dominates here, an alliance that rushes on oblivious to the toll that's being taken on the Golden Goose.

I don't hope this is related to Helen's response posted before, referring to the pilot of a U.S. Air Force U-2 spyplane, who was killed yesterday/today.

Walter Hinteler: I don't know what you are suggesting in your post(s), I truly hope something was lost in your translation, but I believe Helen knows me well enough to understand I'm acknowledging her respectful gesture.

It's a good gesture too. I duplicate it here for all Iraqis killed in that same hour.

Everybody - could we please have a brief moment of silence here in honor of a pilot lost today flying one of the most difficult aircraft in takeoff and even more difficult at landing?

A moment of silence on a computer discussion board? I don't know about you, but my version of A2K doesn't come with sound. It's already silent. How much more silent can it be?

Just a word of advice: those voices that you're hearing aren't coming from your computer.

The blue lines are links, what you probably didn't know.

I just gave the one to the original Swedish homepage, there's an English version (smaller) as well, however.

Then it appears you were fortunate and didn't get to experience this unpleasantness ... http://www.able2know.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1125121#1125121

Whooda Thunk- I wonder how much of Steve's peevishness is due to the underperformance of the Economies in Europe and their rather meager living conditions when compared to the USA.

I have traveled in Europe extensively and found that Envy is at the root of most of the criticism leveled at us.

This makes sense. I agree, the living conditions over here are really bad. I have travelled the States extensively and found that everybody on the other side of the pond is a multi-billionaire in comparison to me...

Walter Hinteler- I checked your link. I still want a link. I do not read German. If you insist on this foolishness, I will give you my next link in Spanish or Italian--languages I can handle and I don't think you can.

I will repeat. My data is hard empirical evidence given in terms of Per Capita GDP. You offer nothing but fluff as far as I can see. I do not understand German so until you give it in English, my post stands......

Chic you will have to excuse Walter he is German and usually makes exceptions for the illiterate americans who can only speak anguish or italian. But I know how you feel, if Enguish was good enough for jesus it should be good enough for Walter.

You use the term, "anguish".I am sorry, Dyslexia. I never heard of the language --"anguish". Is this some sort of gibberish used by those who have a brain defect and are dyslexic?

Clever, thoughtful, well-considered post.

That's what we need instead of this.

You might excuse, honourable sir: the link leads - as said - to the original Swedish site. (Sweden is a rlatively tiny country in Europe, but nevertheless with an own language.) And as already noted, there's an English translated version as well.

But quite seriously: I usually prefer first hand, original sources, not some from hear-say.

Do you mean to say, Mr. Hinteler, that the information is not available through Google?

Try to find it, please. In English--On Google.

Oh, yes, My empirical data on GDP per country( lacking your rebuttal) still shows the basic poverty of countries in the EU.
