So what happens if there's huge age differences?

You know, I just don't want to get stuck with old women. Like ones who go to college.

what happens when? If you meet someone you like and she's older than your ideal date? Or like on a blind date?

I meant the speed dating thing. Do they try to group everyone in certain age groups, or would I be stuck with older chicks, like ones in their early 20's?

Kidding about the older part.

they have age groups. Usually 25-35 or 35-45. One I saw had women 25-35, men 30-40 (or something like that).

I believe Gautum said what
is closest to my own opinion:
"If you like me - great
and if you do not, ah well
'tis your loss - I am really
a most fascinating and
wondrous human being"!

My motto:
"If you like me-great!
and if you do not, ah well
'tis your loss-I am really
a most fascinating guy,
and get ready for a nice ride...
in the trunk of my car!"

Well, if the posts and the pics are to be believed, both gezzy and littlek should have no problem finding dates (swoons!)

My wife would probably kill me if I started dating....heh.

I dunno...the 'formalized' dating/matchmaking things always seemed a bit strange and uncomfortable to me. I think the chance meeting thingy is more natural and real...it could happen anywhere (I understand the grocery store is very lucky for that sort of thing, in all seriousness). I wish you luck, there is someone out there for you! Very Happy

LOL! Yeah, but you'd make an exception with me and let me sit up front, wouldn't you?

Thanks very much. I've actually caught quite a few eyes at the grocery store and wonder if the grocery store is where I should be hangin out :-)

Baby steps, geezy. Maybe if you were real good, I'd start you out in the backseat.

Cav, Lessee, I've been to the grocery store how many hundreds of times? The problem is, I tell myself, that city living isn't randomly social. You don't talk to people on the sidewalk, or at the coffee shop you frequent or the grocery store. Or at least I don't. Maybe that's my problem.

Closest thing to "luck" I've encountered in the grocery store was this woman my mom's age heavily flirting with me.

And for some reason, women always give me a dirty look when I hang out at the cucumber section and make comments like "every woman's gotta have one of those hangin' round the house, eh?"

What gives?

The problem with random meetings is you don't know if the guy's gay/married/involved.... I hate the idea that I could be flirting with a guy only to have his g/f walk up behind me.
