Another step on the road to fascism, a leader who denies the legislative body its coequal status. Next steps involve "dissolving the Parliament"
I don't know what to do with the socialists/socialism. They don't seek to use government for any reason besides economic control. They pretend to be on the up and up, though, and like a liar who consistently denies lying, it's easy to start questioning your own perception that they're lying. Then, the moment you trust them enough to give them an inch, they take a mile.
Just look at Ocasio-Cortez's plan for a green new deal. All the ideas for eliminating fossil fuels and improving environmental respect and sustainability seem great, but then you realize that what socialists do is take everything that would be good and put pricetags on it so that implementing it injects enough money into the economy to invigorate the status quo economy of everyone driving around in cars on big roads and highways to airports and flying around wasting resources and 'living the dream' which is the antithesis of sustainability and environmental impact reduction.
They do the same thing with any and every form of social reform they promise. They create a menu of ideas the public will support, then they sell each menu item to them one-by-one, dumping money into the economy, which the businesses and investors all take, rev up the economy and distribute the money through all the old channels that created inequality and inflation in the past.
It's so disheartening when you want to achieve change but the socialists keep telling you you have to pay an arm for a leg for it, which funds the exact same economy that has always suppressed change to begin with, and once they give them the money, the people choose the money over the change and then we're always back to square one again.
