Trump is caving! And, he is making it sound like a victory. He is not getting any commitment money for his wall. They are starting a "commission" and opening the government for 3 weeks.

I still think the Nation Emergency is coming. Expect a Right Wing temper tantrum in three... two ....

He is rambling about women with tape around their mouths taking a right and a left to cross the border.... it is amusingly painful to listen to.

He just spelled it out... The government will open until February 15th.

If he doesn't get his wall, he will either declare a National Emergency or Shut Down the government again.

He is basically stalling... but anyone who understands the game knows that he is giving up his leverage. This is stupid.

Honestly I wouldn't know about the veracity of any of trumps claims regarding the border. To me the whole thing is like a guy who sees a story about a snake that slithered its way up a toilet drain, and so he spends his days parked in the bathroom with little more than determination and a shotgun.

Don't be too hasty there engineer... Trump said in 3 weeks he is going to shut down the government again or declare a National Emergency if he doesn't get his wall.

He is caving.... but I don't think he realizes it yet.

I think Congress might actually call his bluff about shutting down the government again. And that National Emergency declaration is sure to be criticized, attacked, and litigated. But yes, toxic narcissist that he is, it's very likely he really believes he's won something.
